I attended a church service today, the preaching was about the life of Jacob, son of Isaac, who was manipulative and tried to control his life according to what he wants and his ways. Like most of us, we tend to try to control our lives in accordance to what we want and based on our desires not thinking that in the process, there are people we hurt and have offended God. It was said that in order for us to be worthy and be able to claim the blessings, we shall surrender it all up to Almighty God and let His will be done...
I am still in the process of letting go of things and let God handle all those for me because He knows what is the best for me in the ways He want it to be even if I cannot understand it...how about you? Is there any instance in your life that you tried to control things but it never ended the way you want it?

I think each of us have tried to control things and it ended up going another way. I once heard that the scripture of 1 Peter 5:7 has a bit of a duel meaning.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Not only does he care for you, as a father cares for his child, he takes the care so you don't have to.
