Netiquette....Do you have this when you chat with people online?

I could say that I am not unfamiliar with this kind of people and behavior. I think that best way to deal with them is to ignore them and report them to site administrators. There will always be this kind of people online and in the real world. It's best to know how to deal with them if you cannot completely avoid them.

Yes, of course! I have an netiquette. I'll make sure that I'll have a good impression of myself even if its online. As they said " If you can't keep your integrity online, how much more offline?" One must learn to have an etiquette. by the way it is also an habit. I had been a member of a chat site last year and I was addicted with it. There were some member there who do have an improper way of communicating. But no matter what is it. I'll make sure I am still the person whom I wanna be.

I do see this in general chat room that there are people make fun and making such a bad attitude toward other and make you really angry. that's why administrator block this user if ever they have the proof of making violation on there rules and regulation, but I just ignore them young people should be educated that not everybody are safe to use especially using computer for young children that access internet because we don't know information that needed guidance and assistance on moral issue of other site and images available on the net.

It is what it is. Being aware is the first step, but ultimately it is up to us, to decide how to react to these situations, as for the kiddo's until they get to the age they can make appropriate decisions regarding Internet usage they should be monitored whilst on the computer. I watch my kid constantly when he is on his games, and netflix, so that he keeps to age appropriate programs. If you let him alone he finds the most vile stuff and it takes weeks to train it out of him. Happened once, by accident, Never Again. This kind of attitude is around us always, and the internet is a great place for jerks to be more of jerks because they can hide behind the username. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

When online, actually it depends on the website on how I interact with others. If it's just for fun, I also post bad words, but I don't mean to offend anybody with those words. I usually don't mind if children can read those, their parents are responsible for them, it's their fault why they're learning bad words from me.

I think that I certainly do try to follow the netiquette when chatting online. If you do encounter bad behavior and people not following the rules while chatting then you should just ignore them and report them to the site for abuse...Anyways, getting paid for chatting and making new friends sounds like a nice idea. Could you share with us what this website is. I think many mylotters would be interested. thanks

Hi,i think we all have experienced some bad guys or girls who don't know how to behave in public places, such as chatrooms or bus. In fact, last sundy, when i was on a bus, there was a young man who talking in very loud voice, the worst thing is each sentence coming out of his mouth contains some drity words. He had been smiling all the time, but i felt he was so ugly. There were some little kids on the bus, he didn't care about that at all. Just enjoyed in talking with his friends on the phone. For him, the dirty words are signs of his natural and unrestrained.

What kind of chat is that? What is that site? That was ever since even in MIRC that people can't keep their integrity then when you meet them in person you can't even imagine that how come they are dumb founded. Some people are just only brave when it comes online because of course they can't be identified. But when it comes to offline they are coward enough to be harsh or do on what they are doing during online.

I have found that proper netiquette makes for a better read. I believe that a chatter does not have to be rude, use harsh words or include lots of drama to get a point across. The bad language may have a place but it's not for chatting on the web. A lot of people get online to chat and have a GOOD time, not get caught up in negativity and bad attitudes. Since there is no way to filter what age the chatter is, proper netiquette probably should be used in as many cases as possible. On the flip side, if the chat is strictly for adults, parents should be aware of where their minor-aged children are surfing. I feel that if there is a set of rules published by the administrators of the site, we should agree to their rules and adhere to them. Being disrespectful to others could cause others to drop their participation of the site and degrade the experience of others.
