I miss my Lily :( She's only 4 months old when she died. I shed buckets of tears, but Parvo is just so hard to deal with. I'm planning to buy another puppy, but before doing so I'd like to keep a stock of Parvaid or Parvobuster. Is that even available here in the Philippines?

I had a friend who purchased a puppy and once they got her home the dog took very sick, when she went to the vets they did a variety of tests and found out the dog had left the puppy mill with parvo. They were lucky as they caught it, the dog went through lengths of testing, multiple iv's, antibiotics, and allot of money. The dog is ok now there is still a chance that she may contract it again but for now she's an amazing dog. She's a golden doodle, the most docile dog one could ever own. I am sorry to hear about your dog I wish that you could have had the same outcome as my friend. if you can get the parvaid or parvobuster in the Philippines you could probably find it online.

Hey Leighz, Losing your pet is incredibly sad... If you plan on buying another puppy, make sure that it has all the vaccines. Some people just put fake stickers in puppies' passports. This is one of the reasons why they are not protected against Parvo... Good luck finding a healthy puppy! What bread are you looking for?

I am truly saddened by the loss of your puppy, leighz! If you are accepting any puppy, that has been weaned from it's Mother, it must be protected from "parvo!" The Mother's milk contains anti-bodies for parvo! It is wise, not to accept verbal of vaccinations. Please ask for a certificate from a "certified/registered" Vet clinic! I do not know about the Phillipines, but only a Veterinarian, in Canada, can administer a parvo or other vaccinations! Welcome to myLot...and truly hope you enjoy it here, as much as I do!
