i have a few websites. firstly, the site that i found the easiest to set up and mantained was from moonfruit.com. you get a lot of different pages and things for free and it is so simple to use. i to, had no clue about how to build a website but i found this site really useful and easy. on moonfruit, you have the option of either having a web address like something/moonfruit.com or you can purchase your own domain which will be entirely unique to you (without the moonfruit bit in the address). these are typically between 10 and 20 $/£. there is also the option of paying for extras like more webpages etc for a fee every month. you can also purchase websites from ebay if you wanted one that makes money. if you do this then the person yo purchase off will explain everything to you. i hope this helps. good luck!

I think it is very easy to start any website but the main problem is how to maintian it with quality unique contents. If your are looking for hosted blog like wordpress or blogger, you can get alot of information about it on the internet.
