For me right now, winter is just ending where I live in the U.S. and it's that time of year where we start wearing ... less clothes. Tank tops, dresses, and shorts. I usually gain some weight during the winter and I work my butt off in the spring to be ready for summer. So that's what I'm doing right now. Also though, the best gauge for me is usually if my jeans are too tight. Which of course they are right now.. Best of luck to you! I have no tips, except for eating better, quitting soda, drinking tons of water, and getting lots of cardio exercise in! Good luck!

One way that I was able to stick with a similar circumstance, (I do not need to lose any weight in the least bit lol) was I put myself into a position where I absolutely had to do it day after day for at least an hour, if not two. It was track practice, and although it was fun most the time, there were a few times when it really sucked and pushed me to extremes I did not want to go, or think I could go. So with losing weight, also I say just keep going. Remember healthy weight loss is 2 pounds a week, that's 4 pounds a month ish. 5 is alright. 8+ is definitely going a littel fast but I can't think of any reason why that would be bad really as long as it's not continually month after month, 8 lbs lost per month.

Well, first of all bianx. I am not on a very needed diet. I keep thinking I need to and then I think what's the use, as soon as I lose it, all that I want, I will gain it back faster than I lost it.
I started today tho. I ate a salad for dinner. But I read a discussion earlier where she was talking about the fact that she had been walking and burning more calories than she'd been eating, so she was going to have to intake more calories and that her brother had been walking alot and had lots 144 pounds. I know that besides the aikins diet that I did about 5 years ago, the best way I lost weight was counting calories as I was also walking faithfully everyday.. I have got to get back into that. Good luck to you.

5 years ago, my weight 120 kg. More of 40 kg from ideal body weight. With height 189 cm, ideal my weight should be between 75-80 kg. I'm run variety diet therapy but not get satisfactory results. However, in the end I managed to reach the ideal weight by "rice diet + suggestion therapy" with the way I'm not eat rice at night and I tried to embed the suggestion in my mind that I have the ideal body weight. The result, 3 months I did, my weight is now 85 kg!

Hi bianx21, If you feel good about yourself then do not do it unless the doctor advise you to do so. Each person has a different standard when it comes to weight. It is never nice to lose weight just because people said you should. I think you should commit to losing weight when you feel there is a need for it. If you believe that you need to lose those fats then it is a pretty strong motivator. People's comment about a person losing weight is never a motivator, you may believe it now then later forget about it.And for starters, if you decided to commit be happy about it and dont complain. I am currently on struggle to cut down my junk food intake and right now I am taking a choice to eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables to make me healthy. I do move a lot now compare before.I dont drink much of sodas and drink lots of water. It has been effective for me, all you have to do is analyze your lifestyle and check where to cut down and you'll know what to do. Each body adapt differently. Good luck !

Tips:For me a I buy low fat foods, eat vegtables salad, outmeal, fresh fruits and avoid chips and sweets that I like the most. You need to sacrifies to achieve your goal.I go to the gym during weekdays after work and spend 1-2 hours exercising.I join dancing activity and play sports with friends like badminton, volleyball and swimming for 2-3 times a week.Don't eat after 6pm and drink a lot of water while eating because that will make you full so you'll eat less. Always think of those people who call you fat everytime you see and feel attempted to buy sweets and fatty foods and say to yourself that you wont give them the satisfaction to make you feel down again.
