I really enjoy cooking in my crockpot, lately I have been trying all kinds of meats and stews in it. It's really nice to come home to a meal already made and the house smelling so so good after a long day. Recently I made really tasty spareribs with a rib sauce in the crockpot, they were so sweet and tender they were breaking apart when we were taking them out of the pot. Do you try cooking different things in the crockpot?

I'm not really sure what a crockpot is. Maybe I have seen one, but not knowing that it was a crockpot. I also like cooking, but I think the cooking does not like me. haha! I cook in any kinds of pot. I seldom practice cooking these days because of my busy schedule.

A crockpot is also known as a slow cooker, where you put everything in one pot and turn it on you can leave it for the day to simmer so when you get home you have your meal made for you. They are really quite good.

I think we do not have a crockpot here in our place as far as I know. I think its an equivalent version of pressure cooker here. Its where we put our meat to make it more tender. We simmer the meat for a couple of hours until it is tender.

I too love my crockpot, I love making my ribs in the crockpot. Iv also used it to make slow cooked home made chicken noodle soup. I even make my goulash and spaghetti in it too! My favorite thing to be made in it though is the ribs. I love how they come out very tender and juicy with flavor cooked in the middle too. I wanna get brave and try other foods in it but I have yet to figure out what else to make in it. Iv had my crockpot for over 7 years now. What other kinds of stuff do you make in yours? Maybe it will give me some good ideas of foods to try in the crockpot!

I'm going to defiantly do the pork chops sometime! Whats awesome is my boys want chicken for dinner tomorrow so I'm going to make it in the crockpot. That sounds very yummy and sounds like it should make the chicken very tender. Thank You for the great ideas

Oh yes we use to use our crockpot at the trailer all the time when we didn't plan on using the BBQ or open fire to cook.

There is nothing better for a woman on the go than a crockpot! I used to throw all kinds of things in one in the morning and then, in the evening when I got home with the children, dinner was done. Roasts with potatoes and carrots were my favorite in there. I once had a recipe book for all crockpot dishes. It was awesome for me.

I love my crock pot as well. I make pot roasts, have done ribs once, make soups and chili. When Randy and I were living in Idaho I made a lot of soups in my crock pot and would freeze quite a bit of soup in case either one of us got sick then all we had to do is reheat the soup. Crock pots are a great invention and it takes a lot less energy to cook in than a stove.

The ribs are amazing all you need to do is base them in whatever marinade sauce you like and set it and forget it. They are amazing tasting.
