Can be inheirited but also we are born with a certain amout of cancer cells in our body and seems to decide when they want o act up GO TO TO DOCOTOR you may have something else wrong Check it out before you start thinking you have it.

Hello Neil! Long time no see and this is the news i got from you. I'm praying it's not what you think. Medical doctors and scientists said that it's in the genes. But the book that i've read said that it's not. According to that Christian book God never allows anything to inherit such a bad thing. So it's all in the faith. Please be healthy. Go see a doctor but be positive.

hello neil, Sorry to hear this, and hope that you're wrong. But the best thing is, you should seek medical help to have everything confirm. I know it's not easy to accept things especially having our family with us- we just can't think of leaving them if possible (in whatever way) Keep the faith...and be strong!

hi neildc Well, I have a different approach here when you say - I am too afraid to see the doctor and be diagnosed - Many ailments (including cancer) are curable is detected and diagnosed at their initial stages. Please have a checkup as soon as possible. My illness severed because it could not be diagnosed and the doctors could identify only after 5 years of my having it and then they said it was too late to get repaired. This is quite more saddening. But whatever, please have a health check. You will at least know what it actually is and maybe the doctors and great people at MyLot can help you in case (just like when you needed help with dear zayzay). I pray for your better health dear.

I hate that feeling. I really hope that you are wrong. I will pray for you nedic. Don't think about it too much. If you think that you have it then I guess start healthy lifestyle now and get rid of any foods that can cancer. If you can research about what to do and what to avoid from the internet to give information about it and how to deal with it. You are not yet sure that you have it but I guess it would lessen the possibilty of having one. Then try to have quality kind of life or should I say spend quality time with your family, treat each day like it's your last. The reason is we could lose our lives anytime and anywhere and no one can predict it. You may lose your life not because of cancer or some diseases but also by other acute cases. Neildc, it's said that prevention is better than cure. Hence, going to the doctor to check if you really have it also, then at least it would be at an early stage and could still be arrested and prevented from getting worse, if not getting it fully eliminated. You said you are not afraid to die. So, face your doctor and have your pain diagnosed so it could still be cured.

Sometimes too much stress can lead to such illnesses such as cancer. I know from your many posts the many trials you have had in life and this may also be a factor if you are feeling or seeing signs of cancer. Have it checked while it is in it's early stage and I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. The worrying can also aggravate the genes or cells that cause cancer. Also get some rest, I mean real rest not just the regular monotony of going to bed at a certain time and waking up the next day when your alarm clock sounds. Be well my friend. Hi niel, I hope and pray that your belief is not right. Maybe it's time for you to see the doctor. Try to find some other way to have money for you can go to the doctor. You said you don't want them to leave at that early so try to ask help to others like what you have done to your son before. There are a lot of institution here in our country that surely can help you. Wont you try send an e-mail to Karen Davila and ask some help again. I know it is hard but this is for the sake of your family. If is better to know so you can cure it early, also have faith in God we all know that He is always there for us, you can do it Neil, fight!fight!fight!.

Hi Neil, the best thing is that you have to go see your doctor and tell him, the sooner you do that the better, its not good thinking what it is just because your mom, your grandfather and your sister had cancer, it maybe be something completly diffrent thing altogether, so please see your doctor, sending prayers and healing energies to you, love and hugs always. IF you have cancer, the only way to beat it is to start the fight early. If you wait then you will surly die. Besides, why worry yourself, if you don't have cancer maybe it will be something easy to fix. For goodness sake go find out and then you will know what you face instead of hiding in the dark and fearing the unknown. Blessings

Hi neil... Just responded to the discussion started by hatley on your issue but did not see this discussion. Well, i have said there be conform first rather then worry. Prediction is always wrong and it is not true that cancer causes inherently. It is wrong as i have seen some families. If you keep your self in tense, then it is more dangerous to your health, brain, nerves even more than cancer. So dont worry. You are fine. Have a nice time.

I also hope that you are wrong, Neil! I've lost my grandmother and my grandfather to cancer some years ago, and it was not nice seeing them fade away like a candle light. It was really sad. What was more annoying was taht both my grandma and my grandpa were people close to God, always going to church, always reading The Word of God, and always loving and caring all people. Why would God give such horrible deaths to those who always loved and praised Him? I never understood, and I never will. I hope you are alright, and that you will have a long life to love your family and offer people the best you have to offer, Neil!

I am sorry for your feeling of cancer, cancer is not a nice disease I know I have had many in my family affected by it. However, the sooner you catch it the better chances you have of beating it or at least making life tolerable so that your not suffering. I strongly suggest getting confirmation from your doctors the sooner the better so that a plan of action can be put into place to help you beat it, think positive!!

As a person fighting cancer right now, I have to say if you think that you have something going on, you should get it checked out. I don't know if all three of those people in your life had the same kind of cancer, but if they did it is possible that it is hereditary. Not all cancers are but enough of them are that you shouldn't take any chances. Is there something going on in your life that makes you think you might be at risk of getting cancer? If so you should run to the doctor rather than walk to make sure you get it before it gets you. I'm sorry I didn't respond to this before, but I have been in treatment all this year for the latest recurrence of my cancer. Please take care of yourself!

I am fully aware of that fear you are feeling right now, Neil. I pray that you do not have cancer at such a young age! However, the best thing you can do right now is to see a doctor about it as soon as possible! IF it turns out to be cancer, the earlier it is diagnosed, the better your chances of getting rid of it. I can say that firsthand because I was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 19 but it had JUST begun. It was operated on right away and I didn't even have to go through chemotherapy or radiation because they had gotten it so early. I know it's a scary thing to hear that you have cancer and no one wants to hear it but avoiding the doctor will only make things worse because your worrying about it could make you sick from the stress. I was afraid that pain I've currently been experiencing in my left arm was heart related but, thankfully, seeing the doctor has alleviated that fear for me. I do have issues and will need surgery at least on my shoulder (torn rotator cuff) and possibly another neck surgery but at least it's not my heart and that has greatly relieved my fears. You may get some similar news from your doctor. I am sending you every bit of positive energy I am able in the hopes that you will get good news from your doctor. Big hug from Auntie Marti!

Early detection is the answer neildc as cancer is curable if detected early. But it is wrong to assume. You could be having other causes for that pain. So please go for a check up as soon as you can and have the doubts cleared.

hey neil! the truth is it is not the cancer that is being inherited and what the doctor said is that when cancer runs through your family you are at risk with it too. because you have cells that is prone to turn out to be cancerous and it will depend on you. you are lucky that you have already warnings that cancer run through your family so what you can do is to stay healthy and stay away from the habits and the foods that can trigger the growth of cancer cells. live a healthy life and always keep a positive thinking. the more you think negative, the more you are stress and that's what cancer cells love. always pray because nothing is impossible with God.

Hi friend. i hope you are wrong to think that.I know it is sad to know about the story,but be positive,think happy thoughts and you can eat fruits carrots to cure disease. And every one will die because sin ,but if we have Christ in our hearts ready,and when we die,we will go to place Heaven and no more pain there..
