It is absolutely possible, just make sure when you teach you follow the step on the note that you give to your student. It will help them practice better at home afterward.

make sure you have stable and reliable internet connection ( means video streaming and downloading will be fast enough), then you're ready to finish it in 3-days course. Yes, I think that it would be just possible to successfully cover the topics you mention in six hours of practical sessions so long as they were supported by good and comprehensive notes which people could use to practice at home. I was, for many years, involved in teaching exactly this kind of thing to people who were returning to the job market after raising a family &c and who had never touched a computer before. You have mentioned five topics and I would include a sixth, introductory, topic about what the Internet is and how the World Wide Web is different (a subset) of the Internet. Many of your students many not even have used a computer before, so you may want to include the very basic skills of switching on, closing down, using a mouse, using a keyboard, an introduction to Windows (The Start menu, My Computer, the Desktop and its icons, &c). It would depend greatly on the skill level and ability to learn of the individual students. You might have to devote a whole 2 hour session to learning how to use a computer and then somehow cram the rest into the remaining four hours. I think that I would NOT bother to cover video downloading. An introduction to the YouTube site would be sufficient. You will need to have a great deal of patience and know how to pace yourself. Many people who think they can teach because they have the knowledge speak far too fast and do not take time to observe how each student is actually learning. Different people have different ways of learning and what may be a good explanation for one person may make no sense to another. A good trainer will be able to discover each of his/her student's 'point of puzzlement' and to adjust the teaching method to make sure that all the class understands each step before going on to the next. Teaching a class of students is as much a 'continuous learning process' for the teacher as it is for the students! How much you charge for the course will depend very much on how much your students can afford, how much you expect to earn per hour and on the basic overhead costs (hire of room and computers, cost of reproducing the notes for each student and so on). Do NOT forget to calculate the costs, especially including the standing costs, before setting the rate you will charge. It is very easy to find that you are running at a loss or that you are actually not earning anything yourself when you include the preparation time, overhead costs and so on!

Aside from that, children now a days can comprehend internet lingo easily since they find the this things an interesting one. Plus, if you will give them the pointers on how to cope up and grasp the internet usage as to emails, youtube, downloading, and the like, for sure, they can get and learned it within the span of 3 days.

Hello, it is not impossible but hard to learn all there in three days. Chatting, emailing and searching web sites is not a hard job. But operating bank account or reservation of railways or air is typical one. Remember learning is easy but doing any thing with expertness want some experience. And experience wants some time.

Yes talkative women if teacher is you then it is possible teaching internet in 3 days. But in place of you I will teacher then it is impossible hahah....just joking. But if you are teaching only searching, emailing and downloading then it is possible.

Hi Surekha, good to here you are earning from another source by providing internet knowledge to those who don't have any computer knowledge. I remembered before, there was a small class regarding basic internet knowledge in my ex-area. I see they only provide basic knowledge of internet within 3 -4 days study session. I saw quite many senior people graduate from there and even one of my neighbor uncle had also started to understand internet after getting basic knowledge from there. You need to explain well everything in your notes, while teaching and i am sure it will succeed. Good luck to you...

I think you could teach most of the internet basics in just three days. Checking your email, conducting a search and hitting the "home" button should be relatively easy to grasp even for someone who hasn't ever done internet stuff! You're a great teacher so I am sure they will be very successful!

With people already knowing a little how works a computer, it is certainly possible. If you have to learn them all the basics before, it will be difficult, and several will stay by the roadside : what seems very easy for you and me, because we are used to do it daily, can be a major obstacle for somebody who has no computer knowledge. You have to be sure that a major part of your pupils are really following and understanding you.

surekha: Yes. you teach basis of computer in 3 days at 2 hours per day. In case a particular candidate is not able to follow then you can take an extra day session also. much depends on the interest evinced by the candidates.

It depends my friend. It will only be possible even if the person doesn't have the prior knowledge about those things when he or she is willing to learn. However it will be very difficult from the start but I believe it is just in the start.

i think it is possible. if indeed there are some people without knowledge in computer, you can hand out materials which they can read beforehand. for example, the parts of computer and keyboard and their functions. the basic stuff requires hand-on experience to learn. i think it is possible with students having their own computers.

I think, if you have really bright students in the class, that it is possible to learn it in three days; however ,be aware that in any class there will be those who cannot grasp computer use unless they are led slowly throught the process. Hugs, Maggie

I think it's Basically easy to learn those thinks in this advanced generation may be it's already known by the all city peoples. But 3days it's lengthy i think. But good 100rs for fees as for you and as well the Students Lol.

Actually, i learned how to do the internet, by just asking my younger office mates who had subjects on computers when they were in College. It may be embarrassing to admit, but in my College days, computers were not yet introduced. I was just introduced to it, when i was halfway through my career in the bank. Then the internet came, and learning it was also through my younger office mates. I think in even a day, you will learn the basics of internet, my friend.
