I was dreaming of this trilogy book by Suzanne Collins for quite some time. My boyfriend and I have been searching for these books for months now, but a lot of bookstores are out of stock. I was surprised when he secretly put this in my bag, (well, what happened really was, on our way home, he asked me to close my eyes because he will put something inside my bag. He did, and told me not to open the bag, not until I reach home)
I was expecting it was the trilogy of Hunger Games,
I need to read this before the movie comes out this year.
And then I will read the rest, Catching Fire and Mocking Jay.

I haven't yet read any of the three books. I heard the moive adaptation is coming out this month. I'm not sure though when it would be shown in my country. I'm very curious though since it is somewhat of the post-apocalyptic genre, and I'm really love watching those types of films. You're boyfriend was very thoughtful. I could imagine how surprised and happy you were when you got those books

Actually, we got into a fight before that. We lost communication for almost two weeks. And that day was the first day that we started communicating again. And when he gave me the book, it made me feel better. I already felt good because we started talking again, even better when he go me a surprise gist. So thoughtful of him.

I don't know what this book is all about, I mean I read the description but I still have no sure idea. My girlfriend asked me to download an e-book of it so I did and gave her. She told me that it's something in this days so she wanted to also know what's the fuss. I wanted to read the first book since I have downloaded it but I couldn't get myself to begin. I'll probably give it a try tonight, if I don't forget about it. Anyway, congratulations on your book.

The movie is now out and so I am wondering if you've finished the books. I am thinking it must be a fast read as I saw from a vlogger that she gave a copy to her friend and she read it in maybe a week. In any case, I've heard mixed feelings on the movie. The avid fans of the book hated the movie, those who didn't read the book were more okay with it.
How did you feel about it?

Well, that is just my opinion. I think its normal for the novel-fans to not like the movie, because as any novel-based movies, there are some changes made in the story. To make it more interesting I bet. I think those people I have seen/heard applaud after the movie was finished are the people who have not read the book.
And about the book, its more than 300 pages, but the font is not that small, plus the way it was written was quite shallow for me, so its easier to understand. You can read it fast and can still get the context well.

That is nice! You can actually download free Hunger Games ebook online. I can't wait for the movie! I will definitely watch the movie, I will probably watch it with my cousin because she also loves this story so much! I have an audio book of these three books but sometimes, it is boring to listen to them

I have watched that movie too! years back. The second movie of Battle Royale is also good, but the first one is better.
I also found the Hunger Games book not that impressive. The way the story was presented was not that good compared with Harry potter, even the twilight saga. It's like the book Fallen, which has a bit boring representation of the story as well.
But the story line was good, and I wanted to know the original story first before watching it on the big screen for the sake of comparison.

No, I never read Hunger Games before I just downloaded them but haven't really read or heard them. I am waiting for the movie.. I'm not sure if I want to read the book though, I tried the first page and I'm not that fascinated with the words. But the storyline is good, it reminded of Battle Royale, a Japanese movie about students fighting each other to stay alive

That is also why I wanted to have the books first. I wanted to know the full story through the book so that I can fuly understand the movie. This is what I did with most of the novel based movies like harry potter and twilight saga. The problem with these movies is that they tend to vary the original movie to make it more interesting.
