I don't know if any of you guys have experienced this but I did and it's not good. I recently had an allergic reaction to yakult. My whole body was red but blisters were not present. While having this rash I always had mangoes for desert. They were so delicious. I would like to say that I am not allergic to mangoes. The redness from the yakult disappeared after a few days, but after about 2 or 3 days my skin started to peel like crazy and it still is. I was going nuts over this. First I thought it was the vitamins, then the lotion that I used for massage. I went to two dermatologist and they both said that mangoes can make an allergies worse. Another info that I learned is that Mangoes contain vitamin A. Vitamin A is good for the skin but if taken in excess can cause flaky and peeling skin. So I have to the conclusion that mangoes did it for me. Has anyone experience any similar situation?

mangoes makes our body warm when we eat it. they said do not eat to much mangoes during summer because you might get prickly heat. as for the yakult, i do not have any experience with it. is this your first time to experience it or to drink yakult?

This is the 2nd time I had allergies due to yakult. When I was young I used to take a lot of it and did not have any allergic reaction to it. I was only recently that I discovered that I have developed allergies. The first allergic attack happened last december (I have not taken yakult for over 20 years).javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','')

Having an allergy really make someone real sick. I have allergies on sea foods particularly shimps. There was a time when I'm in a in far place away from home and no pharmacy around. Good thing, I have loratadine always handy. In your case, I think, you may consider going to a doctor for further testing - allergy testing (skin testing etc.) Allergic reaction to some, manifest in different way - diarrhea, abdominal pain, and worse, can also trigger asthma. See a doctor asap and have youself checked. Stay healthy.

Had the doctor diagnosed that it was indeed yakult that gave you the allergy? I wonder why? Yes, i know that mango can give you can allergy if eaten in excess. It is said to cause prickly heat. Even when you have a sore throat or cough, avoid mango, because they irritate the throat because of its very fibrous content.
