Hi, I know many friends here on mylot are very good in writing skills. And I know you can give me points and tips to become a good one too. I only just want to fulfill my dreams to become a writer. Since I did not have the chance to continue my college, that's why I did not graduated. I also do not have the chance to get what course what I really want to take up. It's journalism, yes I want to become a Journalist but unfortunately before here in my province universities do not offer that kind of courses. Anyway as in our modern technology now I know I can learn fast even not taking courses in the college. With a little help from you and a little advice is really much appreciated. I really want to join and earn those site that offer writing jobs. I'm a full time mom, and even if I am, I want to become a full time writer too since it is really my desire.

You really should check out HubPages. It's a great writing community. You can write what you want, basically. You can improve on your craft while having great fun, meeting new people, creating an audience and even possibly making some money. I've been a member for over 2 years and I love it. Check it out.

Hmm...well...I am a member of a couple of writing sites but I do have a favorite. The name of the site is Helium and I really like it. It has been forever since I have been on there but I have some articles on there that have made me some money. There is a rating system that they want you to be active with so that gives you the chance to see some quality stuff and learn a ton about writing. I learned alot when I first joined there. I did pretty good but I did have some flops...lol.

hello lyn, If you really want to write, you can always fulfill your dream. I love writing and I don't have proper training when it comes to that- but I trust my passion and believe in myself. I am writing and submitting short articles from different sites. I am not sure of you are aware of writing sites, or you can send me Pm if you're interested to know :) Have a good day

Just write about something you know something about. It takes practice to become a good writer. I can' tell you how to do it. I perfected my craft over the years. I didn't even know i could write well enough to become a professional writer until I had to write research papers in college. When I made perfect scores every time, I knew I could become an article writer.. health and wellness is my specialty.

you seem good at writing though, i also share your passion to become a writer, but unfortunately, my life is going in the opposite direction and taking me further away from my dream, but i think you should stick to your passion firmly and work hard to achieve. Read a lot, develop your knowledge i can write better if i keep on reading, its like input for your brain and also i am trying something called micro-writing, its like practicing with words. I havent been able to test it, but ya its going fine till now..write a blog and make sure you post everyday all the best

Until and unless you have a regular income to manage things, there is little hope in earning through participating in or undertaking writing assignments. Writing fetches you minimal income..expecting too much from it is foolishness @!!!!

I think you have what it takes as a writer, at least from a view point of a language competency. Now what you need to do is to have a knowledge of what you are going to write about. Reading a lot of articles will help increase you knowledge. You have good capital to start with, now find something that will increase your interest. If you like mountainbiking, you can write about it, etc, etc.

There is no special skills needed to be a good writer, you only need to have good command on written English, write article that you enjoy writing or topics that you are more familiar with. Follow the guidelines of the website that you are writing for and start writing. As I read you discussion, you seem to have a very good sense of written English, why don't you put it into practice by writing articles. As you know, practice makes perfect.
