Needless to say, we noticed the gradual rising gas price from day to day. We speculate the price will go up to above $4.20 by May 28, Memorial Day, and then it might go above $5.00 on Summer. I, personally still running a car that I deem it gushing many gasoline per mile. I still struggle financially, so I won't change a new car yet. If I have to spend a lot on gasoline, I have to give up going out, or dining out, and many sacrifices that I have to make. Will it be healthy for the economy overall? Should the government interfere again to lower the gas down again?

Well, it's just about five dollars here in NYC. And I do not see it coming down any time soon. I also believe and know for a fact that the gas prices are being eased by the oil companies. Also, if they sold a gallon of gas for 25 cents they would still be making a 1000 percent profit. So, it is theft at its best right now. The oil companies are stealing our money because they are a greedy corporation.

We are already effected by the gas prices. Keith goes to work and comes home. We usually stay at home on the weekends unless something important comes up. We might visit our respective families once a month. Trips out to the grocery store are planned and we make sure to hit the pharmacy or anything place else we need to go to at the same time. I am encouraging Keith to buy a used motorcycle. At least that will help us with the gas prices during the warmer months. As far as the government interfering I think they want to drive the prices up.

Well I guess I'm going to be walking all of the time as opposed only most of the time. I think that the fact that people have relied a bit too much on their cards, they really have no one to blame but themselves. They obviously expect some magic fix, but they will keep driving and driving right in the mean time. Its called walking. Its a rather liberating experience. Or barring that, get a bike and ride to wherever you want to go.
I do think that in many ways, the price of gas is really just crippling other parts of the economy. But is just the ultimate no win situation. I sure don't have a solution, other than people need to drive less, but we all know that is not going to happen, so why bothering wasting even the slightest breath that I have on this situation. The government should really just stay as far away from anything as possible, because their "help" only puts us in a further hole. Every time in the past five years with few exceptions.

The increase in gs prices only benefits gas companies. For the common citizen, high gas prices can completly change a budget for any family. I think gas prices should be regulated yo keep the money hungry gas companies in line.

Sadly consumers have their hands tied and their wallets emptied. We will never get out of an economic slump til the gas prices go down DRASTICALLY! The oil companies need better excuses for billions in profits, oh wait they have none.
This will hurt consumers as well as jobs. We already had to bail out the Detroit once will they survive a second time because people can't afford new cars nonetheless drive the ones they have.
It's a vicious cycle we can't seem to escape from! I think the only way the government should interfear is by tapping into our oil reserves and creating a competitor with the big oil companies. If people would stop patroning big oil and go with a governement sponsored company at a lower price... they will not have a choice but to compete or go out of business.

I don't drive a car but I'm not comfortable with the price increase. That means the fare will also increase. Plus, the drivers of public vehicles will also get affected by this. I'm not that concerned by their needs but they're also working for their family. I'm just a little concerned about the price increase.

The gas prices are rediculous and I really hope that they come down. I hate the idea that they keep on going up. I think the government needs to find a way to decrease gas prices so people can travel. If this continues I will be driving once a week. at the end of this month Randy and I are going to an Alabama concert that is an hour a half away and we are saving up for gas. With people being on a fixed income it is impossible to afford anything.

Yes per year Goverment raising the gas value atleast 3to 5times it's very annoying to the poor people also it's so difficult to run automobiles also. When the Share market comes good raise then only it will be reduced by the Goverment.

I agree with the government regulating the gas prices. I recently bought a new car because the gas economy on it was allot lower. I hate paying these prices for gas to get around.
