Etsy is a website where people can sell hand made items. I am interested to try selling handmade products in this site but just wanted to know if it is really worth it. Is there any body here who had experienced earning in ETSY? Please share your experience and how it works. Seems like you have to wait up to 3 months? Hope to hear from others here.

I have three shops there. My original shop is called lizziboo and I sell originally designed, hand-stitched felt items. My second shop is Cook Like Mom Did where I sell vintage cookbooks. And my third shop is Old and Crafty where I sell crafting supplies and vintage items. It's a hobby that earns money. I make about 500 to 1000 USD a year doing it. It's not enough to make a living obviously. I don't really think there is anyone on etsy who makes a living strictly through their shop or shops there. Some people are able to use etsy along with a personal web site or other crafting sites together to earn a living and actually quit their full-time jobs elsewhere. As far as online crafting sites go, it is the most well-known and therefore has the most "traffic". Good luck! It's a lot of fun!

Thanks, Speedy! I just had a large custom order and have been working on that. So my shop is a little bit emptier than I would like right now. Thanks for checking it out!

I was not able to visit Etsy for a long time because I am busy with other things and I also quit for awhile with my craft work. Well, 500-1000 earning in a year is good for a hobby but not for a living. Thanks for the information.
