I am curious how many people have had a reaction to the fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Levaquin, Cipro, Avelox, Floxin). These antibiotics work different than any other type of antibiotic. Although they are powerful they have the capability to cause tremendous collateral damage. The Internet has several communities of people (not just hundreds but literally thousands) who have had long term damage from the drugs. One of the scariest things about them is their ability to cause problems after stopping them. Many people who have had no problems while on the medication go on to develop fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and a host of other ill-defined maladies. I think doctors need to stop handing them out like candy.
