Why do children feel like they have to stay in your lap no matter what. They have their own chairs to sit in. But no matter what they feel like they should fight over sitting in my lap. Is there something that i can do to make my children stop this? I dont mind them sitting in my lap but just not all night long and not fighting over me. They hurt my legs when they fight over me.

maybe because your children loves to be close to you or they are fighting for your attention. if they are grown ups already talk to them that they need to take their sits rather than sitting on your lap. though, i see it really cute fighting over your lap LOL. you will definitely missed that scenario when all your kids are independent and adults already.

He starts in deep river on Aug 27th. He goes for his kindegarden screening on the 29th of this month. They have to wear solid colored shirts with a coler on them. And then the pants they have to be like dress pants. They cant wear sweat pants or blue jeans. They have school shirts that you can buy also for them to wear. I didnt even ask how much they cost. Im scared to find out lol. I might though when i have extra money go ahead and buy him at least one so that he does have one for his school since that is his first school. And dont worry pre school isnt nothing i thought the same thing but when mine went it didnt get to me at all lol. I guess that kinda sounds bad. It has already started to work i told them when i picked them up that mommy was very tired that her feet and legs hurt and they got into the truck with no problem and when we got home they went to there room to play. I have been home for about 30 min and have not seenthe kids since we got home. They are giving me mommy time :). Thank you.

I so agree with you lol. My children are ages 5 and 3 1/2. So they are still young but going to try to ight and talk to them about taking turns and maybe they will understand the fact that my feet and legs hurt. I am going to miss these days when they get older I now I will. My son is starting kindergarten this year and already telling me he is ready to ride the big school bus and ready to go. He has to wear surtin clothes to his new school and I told him about it and yesterday morning I put a spider man shirt on him and he told me he couldn't wear that at his new school I had to find him something g else to wear. It was just to cute make me want to even cry.

Little kids are sweet to sit in laps and they are good and funny.I like kids like that specially they are little and i can carry it. Me ,if am going to marry, i love to sit in the lap and feeling great, and love it.Because i am like baby.

Playful kids - Playful or rowdy
That's normal. Kids are not just playful but they are also very competitive. Siblings do always compete over the attention of their parents. They are actually fighting over your attention so they want to be the first to sit on your lap. The best thing you could do is to just explain them in a nice and clear way that they need not do that because they are already hurting you and that they should just take turns instead of fighting over your lap. Better yet tell them they are bringing injury on your legs and if your legs keep hurting none of them can ever sit on your lap anymore. Also give them the assurance that you love them all equally and not only the one who gets first on your lap.

Thank you for your comment. I did have a talk with my children. I told them as soon as i picked them up the my legs and feet were killing me. And I was also really tired. The day that i did that my children suprised me big time. When we got home both the kids went to their play room and played for an hour. Then they come into the living room with me and my husband to watch some cartoons and my son asked me if he could sit into my lap and i told him that yes he could. Then i saw my little girl kept looking at me and him like when is it going to be my turn so i kinda keep an eye on the time and told my son that it was his sisters turn to sit in my lap. He didnt even give me any problems he got right up and let his sister sit down. It worked out great. Thank you once again.

well, personally i think it's sweet..they just want your attention..i have a kid also and i think you should just enjoy it while they are still little kids because they grow up so fast! next thing you'll know they are already grown ups, so just enjoy it while you still can.. =)

O yes i now its very sweet. Just hurts after working all day long. I love it as long as they are not fighting over my lap. Lol. Today i told them that mama was very tired and that my feet and legs are hurting so they are lisening for the most part they are just being kids today. But they are not fighting over my lap and that is a plus. I already miss some things that they use to do that they dont do anymore. But i now to expect alot of that as they grow up.
