It is not in a snap that the person you were once intimate with forgets about you and will treat you as a stranger. It seem that the person is still angry with the man. Sounds generic though. Anyways I can sense that both of them is not over each other and just plain angry about whatever transpire. It is not a letting go statement for me because she will not bless the guy. If the guy doesn't do anything to make things right then maybe he might lose the girl. Because I can also sense resignation in that message.

Your friend's ex girlfriend is like a poet. I don't have any idea in what is the reason why they end there relationship but i think the ex girlfriend still love him because the ex girlfriend telling that he just not lost her but she also lost him. I think its like saying "I Love you, but good bye" I think your friend cry because he feel what his ex girlfriend really want to say for him.
