how to burn files to blank cd or dvd?

I wanted to burn a file in my computer, because I'm afraid I will lose everything when my computer melts down. My files are very important since I have all my works in it.
Do you have any idea how to copy or burn files to cd's
just need some more ideas here.

I think you need a software to burn your files to disc. There are a lot of software is available for free you can try them or you can try nero. It is easy to use. But it is not a free software. You can download the trial version from the link http://www.brothersoft.com/nero-169347.html.

You need a proper hardware and software to burn data to a cd/dvd. You should have a CD-writer or the most common hardware today is DVD-writer. Then you should install the software to the cd/dvd. Nero is one of the software that widely used in windows to burn datas.
