When I travel, thinking of what to eat during my travel also excites me. I love to eat... Then it came to me. I usually travel using budget airlines. And Air Asia being one of the cheapest airlines around, I am fond of using them. Not only because their fare is cheap, it is also their food that makes me use them again and again... I come to like Malay food because of them. I haven't tried that many airlines but I guess many of them serves good food. How about you? Do you enjoy the food that the airlines give you while you travel? What is the airline that offers the best tasting food aboard the aircraft for you?

I don`t enjoy at all the food on the plane when i travel cause don`t know about the others but i usually take Alitalia flights and they give me a biscuit ( a very bad one ) and some juice. That is all i get for a flight of 2 hours. 5 years ago or more they used to give a full meal but i guess this crysis is getting on everybody`s back.

It is the same thing with Philippine airlines. Years ago, I would be looking forward to the meals they serve when I flew with them. But now though they still offer full meals, it is not as tasty as before and not that filling... I guess it is happening globally.

I eat a vegan diet and am very fussy with my food. Most airlines have a vegetarian meal available but not all give a vegan meal. I tend to have a good meal before I travel on the plane and have some of my own vegan food to eat on the flight. I sometimes pack a one liter or two liter of water to have when I arrive. I keep it at the top of my backpack. The best food on a plane I had in a free upgrade from Male in the Maldives to London. I loved traveling in business class that once free of charge.

How I wish I can experience what it feels like seating in business class... They say that the food and drinks there are overflowing.

Sometime, I think that airline food is just given to you to keep you in your seat. It's been awhile since I've flown, but I know American sirlines having been cutting back on food service to save money. Some low cost airlines have never had food service.
That said, I once upgraded to first class on Continental and they served swordfish. It is actually still the best swordfish I've ever had. I don't get swordfish very often, it's not served where I usually go to eat, but when I have it's been too dry. Swordfish is also not good too eat very often because it has higher mercury content.
I used to travel a lot to Houston and often flew on USAir. There was a time when they served something on the plane, I forget what, but it actually used to make me ill. It took me a few flights before I realized the meal was making me sick, but when I switched to the other meal option I did not have a problem.
This also reminds me of one airline where they did not have food but gave out peanuts. There was one flyer who was annoying because he kept complaining about the airline and started calling it the 'peanut airline'. It made me want to yell at him "why are you on this airline if you don't like it?"

I've traveled with Air Asia a couple of times before and purchase the in flight food. I wasn't hungry but I was boring and tired of watching the cloud. There's nothing else to do so I tried the food. It's not bad but not really close to the one you eat on the land. But what can you ask while you're up there right? I've traveled with Fireflyz once. The food was served to me instead of me purchasing them like in Air Asia. It was only one hour flight so it was only a muffin and grape juice. But I was thankful for that. I haven't have a chance to try flying with Malaysia Airlines yet. I heard their food was good too.

I have heard of it also... Malaysian Airlines have one of the most delicious inflight food. Though I haven't had the chance to try them yet. Most of the time, I take the budget airlines. I have tried their budget counterpart though called the MAS wings. I took a flight from Brunei to Kota Kinabalu. It was a 20 min flight but still they served me a chocolate drink for free... hehehe...

I don't care about the food I care about the price of a flight.
The less I have to pay the better. The airline companies I use don't serve food anymore. You can only buy it yourself for extreme high prices and the quality is bad. It's the cheapes food (includes the drinks as well) you can find. So I prefer to take my own food with me or no food at all.

I also usually travel under 4 hours. But it always happens to me when I take a vacation, I end up finishing all of my work hours before my flight. So I have no time to eat when I go back home to pack and freshen up. Usually after I finish all of my work, I go home then pack up then go to the airport. So, I end up buying the food in the plane. hehehe...And surprisingly one budget airline has a good menu to offer.

Each time when I travel by plane, they serve us with some food, including rice, cake, delicious dishes, fruit and drink like coffe, milk or tea. I love the service in the plane. But I do not get a cheap airline ticket because the line to my hometown is no cheap at all like some other traveling cities.
