Wish this “Hornet” comes here soon to my country.

the wonder vehicle - vehicles of future, economical

These days I find difficulty in driving my scooter, I can’t drive bike after I faced accident in 1985, my hip bone was shattered, and the hip movement is restricted, I sold my car due to lack of parking space/garage in home. A friend told me about this wonder vehicle. The “Hornet” by 22 year old Liam Ferguson, is a one-wheel superbike, which seems to be “up there in the clouds a bit.” It generates power from dual 74 horse power, (55 kW) in-wheel hydrogen fuel-cell six-phase Neodymium-Iron electric motors to reach a top speed of 235 km/h, the Hornet integrates two side-by-side small wheels to balance it gyroscopically when parked. Just imagine the ladies you can pull with this little beast. The Hornet acts like a Segway; the electric bike integrates a series of computers that examines both the Hornet’s attitude and the rider’s inputs to correct the stance according to the weight and momentum of the vehicle. Weighing about 176 kilograms, the single wheel motorbike looks too bulky and difficult to maneuver, especially at slow speeds, but it touts an amazing turning circle of zero meters, thanks to the dual-wheel system underneath, to let it turn even on a five-cent coin. Are you going to buy one? What vehicle you use normally? Is that economical? Please share your views and comment on this. HAPPY HOLI TO ALL MEMBERS HERE. Thanks in advance. The Hornet you mentioned is really a nasty beast that have such a power. As per my knowledge there are only few vehicles which operate gyroscopically and one among them are Aeroplanes where this property is used. So, I suggest that it is a really nice bike to be bought. But, the price may be higher than the normal Hornets, If you can afford to it, then I suggest to buy it immediately as soon as it is launched in your country.

Looks amazing but I don't think it will fair so well in our rainy climate and I think it would struggle in the mud here but I'd love to have a go on it. I'll stick with my Land Rover Defender; rugged, reliable, agile and a British cultural icon now sadly no longer made here but I am glad it is now in Indian hands rather than American or German (Both Ford and BMW bought Land Rover for a while) All the best urban

I'd like to drive any vehicle but since I have physical limitations,I have to be extra careful as a lot of drivers here in our country are reckless.Nowadays, people in our country strive to be environment friendly so electric motorcycles/scooters became a hit since it won't use gasoline & it won't emit fumes which can pollute the air & be dangerous.I've always wanted to have one.It only costs Php27,000 but the problem is it only covers a distance of up to 70km & it will take a few hours for you to recharge it but these electronic vehicles are such good ideas & will be of great help to our environment.

My uncle who lived in Germany, Berlin, actually, was driving his mopehead one day, ironicaly to the doctor was struck by a big truck and killed. So, I don't really like these small vehicles especially in big cities. My husband used drive a ATV around his friend's farm and he had a few mishaps on it and his friend's daughter had the thing flip and land right on top of her and she broke her back. It was scary for all of us. She's recovered pretty well now but it took a long time before she would get on an ATV again. I think these small vehicles can be dangerous.

Hi professor if this hornet is all they say it is I do hope you can get one when they come to your country.as for me I have to depend on the generosity of my friends to transport' me by car. When I have doctors appts I call the access bus as their drivers are so kind, they are trained to help us elderly people and I notice more and more a lot of the drivers are in their sixties and seventies so I guess they do have more sumpathy for people my age with my dumb walker. It costs me five dollars and forty cents round trip which is so mu ch cheaper than a cab and we are picked up at our front door here'and taken to the doctor's office and back home again.

No, won't be buying one but I will use my bike during good weather. To go any long distances, 5 miles or better, we have a big SUV. I know they are frowned upon but we use it for our business and my husband's full time job. We still get nasty looks about owning one. It is not economical to use but it does allow us to earn income, so that's the trade off. We bought it so we could haul our growing boys, a boat, fishing gear and camping gear. Now we just drive it for work.
