Australia beat Sri Lanka in the 3rd final and won the CB series.....

Ausssies defeated SL in the 3rd and last final of CB series by 16 runs and won the cup.
Aussies scored 231 runs and defended the low total very well, they bowled out SL on 215 runs.
McKay was the match tuner for Aussies .
He took 5 wickers for just 28 runs.
Watson and Christian bowled with good economy and helped aussies to win the match.
For aussies the openers, wade and warner gave a good start, both of them got out just under half century mark.
For SL only Tharanga and Thirimanne showed some good batting, but they failed to take the team to 232.
McKay named MOM and Dilshan got MOS award.

Australia once again showed there capability to win the tournament.
they really put a very good performance to win this final.
It was not easy to restrict SL for 231 runs, but Australian bowlers rise up to the situation and put up an excellent bowling performance to beat Lankans in the final.

Yes, the aussies restricted the visitors for 215 runs.
Aussies bowlers picked up the wickets in regular interval, it made the SL batsmen under pressure..

As expected SL has lost yet another final, you may earn respect by playing and competing well but winner takes the glory.Last series which SL won was 2 years back,pretty long time isn't it?

I dont know who makes their strategies for finals,in World Cup final too they made lot of selection blunders.Here also they batted last on a slow pitch when important players like Mathwes and Perera were out due to injuries,especially when they choked Aussies in last league match on similar kind of pitch.

I think Sri Lanka had done well in the field restricting Australia to a below par score. But their batting crumbled under pressure and losing 4 top order wickets quickly meant, a struggle for the rest of lot. And in the end, they folded up 16 runs short. Australia kept hanging in all the way, and forced their opponents to commit mistakes and deservedly won the finals.

Austlaians deserved the match, as their bowlers were up to their mark.
The australian bowlers tried to make match more tight and thus they got the wickets.

It was a bit surprising that Aussies won the third final. After they were restricted to 231 I thought SL are taking the cup home but Aussie bowlers really bowled well and firmly held the control to send the SL packing up within 215. All eyes were on Warner and Dilshan but both of them failed to deliver and frustrated us. However the bowlers kept the CB Tri Series cup in Australia after 2005. It brought some cheers after their poor performance before India's tour of Australia. Anyway, the match was great and was thrilling after Virat Kohli's epic innings of in the last league match of India against SL.

Aussies were bowled out for a small total, and their bowlers came back strongly and made the game for them.
It was the game Aussies won only with the performance from the bowlers.

SL thrown away easy match from their hands,target was even so easy and they were in good form but over confidence of fast batting from first over was really useless it took away easy win from them.

Yes, it was a very good chance for the SL batsmen to chase 232.
The top order should have played some good cricket, they failed to put up a good base, lost the wickets regularly.

Srilanka had good performance in the second ODI but they wasn't that good today.. I guess even Srilanka is not having the consistence performance. Australia is surely not at their best now, and still they are winning just because of other team's performance are even poor.

I think SL played well in the 1st two matches, but they were not success on the 3rd.
Aussies batsmen also failed in the last game, but the bowlers compensated it.

Yes Friend, many teams are not consistent now. They are winning by the mistakes made by other team. But in last match australia deserve the win. Mckay played really well...

Yes friend, very great match..i thought srilanka will easily chase the score but Mckay turned everything very great performance by him...

I also thought that SL will win the match quite easily, but the Aussies bowlers made the match very tight one, they bowled beautifully.
Australian Bowlers once again proved their skills....

That was the writing on the wall since Indians get out of the tournament.I guess Australians were always working on their Plan to lose the final group stage match against India because they know that only Indians are the one who can defeat them as Indians know the Australians conditions pretty well and believe or not India might not played good in Test matches but they still are the World Champions.
