Between Dreams and Reality

Most of us have dreams that we wish to come true. However in our life, many people or friends around (including me) found that our dreams were getting far away from us as we growing older. Dreams and reality...that's the reason people are working on things he might not really like it so that he can feed himself first; and the dreams will just left behind. Did you faced the same situation? Will you still continue chasing your dreams even though you're struggle for life?

I also facing the problem what you said. In dream you see the things which i wish to truth. But in reality it is not possible.

What I'm thinking is this...if I'm unable to reach for it right now as there are obstacles, I'll go for reality first, live just for survive; once I'm capable enough, I'll commit it with all the strength I went through in past life. My dream is beautiful and I want to reach for it. It might be impossible in others' eyes and people around are mocking at me; it doesn't matter. If I never try, it will stay impossible forever.

This is true. I used to dream of so many things, dreamed of owning them, dreamed of actually flying everywhere and visit as many countries as i can afford, but then i never really thought that at my age right now i am still unable to do that and this is the reality i am with, far different from what i have pictured myself years back when i am only trying to achieve my dreams by studying and by being a good student.

Same here. I dreamed of becoming a composer when I'm still in high school but I never learned to play any musical instruments as the fee to learn is not cheap. As years goes by, I started asking myself what I'm going to do in future? So now I had brought a guitar and learn to play it by myself, it might be hard at first, but I'm going to make it.

I am at a place in my life where I am really not tied to anything. I have been out of work for five months, applying for jobs almost daily and not getting any response, and when I lost my job I decided it was the perfect time to start chasing my dreams. About 8 years ago I started an online literary "'zine" (not-for-profit, independent magazine) and through a series of events to follow I also started my own publishing company. So far, it is just kind of a mothership for my zine but I decided in the last few months that I want to build it into something more so I've applied to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for a Masters degree in Writing and Print Media. Hopefully (assuming 1. I get accepted and 2. I can figure out how to pay for it), I can use that to turn my publishing company into something respectable. I very much admire the people who can just decide, one day, that "reality" is no longer for them and they are going to make life about their dreams instead. I am trying to be one of those people.

I believe in dreams, this are my motivator factor to become successful. People tend to equate this as ambition or what ever but this will gear us up to the ladder. I believe in dreams, that this will give up energy to reach of what we are aiming for in our lives. People might say "you're out of reality" but it is all up in yourself to judge of your dreams. Dreams are patterned in your self for you to make it a reality but if you not gonna do anything about it, then it will always be your dream forever.

I believe in dreams too. There was a hard time for me when I tried to give up on my dream, and my life feel sick. But for now, I'm not let it slip away no more; it doesn't matter what other people said cause I'm the one to judge it whether it is a right or wrong path. I'm gonna prove it!
