Do Policy Changes Frustrate You?

For the last ... I can't remember now, five or six years or so, my bank has offered rewards points if you use your debit card like a credit card and sign for your purchases instead of using your PIN. I have been really bad about doing that, mostly getting points for eating out at restaurants and things where they don't have the option of using your PIN for purchases. But the last six months or so I have been really diligent in signing for things, hoping to build up points so I can pay for a trip I want to take in December.
Last week, I got online to check my points balance and it was the same as it was the last time I checked, which was over a month ago. What's the problem?! I went digging around to see if I could find some explanation and what I found was very upsetting to me. I'd never gotten any kind of notification but apparently after this month, they are discontinuing the rewards program and didn't offer any explanation of why.
Do these kinds of things happen to you? It seems like every time I get involved in something to earn points or cash for doing normal every day things, the programs get cancelled. Just my luck!

Yeah, it does frustrate me sometimes. Because we gotten used to how it was before that we are hesitant for the changes. I think it is about the level of comfort and ease that we are afraid of changes. Because with changes comes the need for us to rearrange the system in how we live to accommodate the change. We need to incorporate it in a way that it will not hamper or daily activities like we used to. Changes whether it in policies or other things are needed from improvement or maybe destruction of the system. But as an ordinary citizen, we do not make the system. Therefore there is nothing left to do than follow it and devise some ways to suit us. Or if you are a force to be reckon with then you can oppose to the system and be ready to fight against it.

Sometimes, policy changes comes as a shock when it is not properly communicated to you beforehand. There are several reasons a Bank could tell you about the recent policy change and in some unfortunate circumstance one suffer from the policy changes that are not intimated in time.

That's annoying! So do you get the points that you HAVE or does it pretty much surrender those points you've earned? I have a Capital One credit card and it's a 'rewards' card -- you get a certain percentage back of whatever you spend. So far I have $12 and I'm waiting for it to accumulate to $25 so I can 'cash out' (in the form of a check OR directly to your statement). If they discontinued that I would be disappointed.
