partridge in my birch trees

partridge in my birch trees - flying to eat the seeds from my trees

Fall through the winter we have up to 7 partridge in our birch trees on my front lawn. They eat the seeds from the branches. It is sort of cool really.

hi nadinest1 but no pear trees, he he I am hear broken I wanted to hear you had 7 partridges in your pear trees but birch will h ave to do;ar you familiar with the christmas song the seven days of Christmas?It sounds really need, part of nature indeed. On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. lol lol

I came over to look and see if you gave us a pix! Thanks for doing so! I didn't know that's what a partridge looks like, I would've said it was a ruffled grouse....

I have never seen a partridge so I would be very excited to have them visit my yard...we're looking for robin's right now..first sure sign of spring!

Well, I always thought that it was a single partridge in a pear tree, not seven partridge in a birch tree, but since I've never seen a picture of a partridge in my life, I guess I'll have to take what I can get. Once again, you've amazed me with your photographic eye. I am starting to wonder if it is possible for you to take a picture that isn't something that is really special. I love seeing your pictures and hope that you will share more of them.
