If you love to eat, sure you have to love exercise too. There is no option to avoid exercise if you love to eat. Even eating a lot of fun, but it is can cause to a disease. Try to do exercise, and loses you weight now.
I can suggest you that try to eat less at night. It is doesn't matter how much you eat lunch, but take a little quantity of food at night. This is could help you to reduce weight easily. Eating a vegetable, fruits is another to keep you healthy person and indeed in healthy lifestyle. As everyone say that don't eat oily or cholesterol food much.
It's worth it , if you're strong enough.

If you have trouble eating a lot at night, at least try to eat only vegetables or fruits, that will help a little!

I also love my food and am struggling to lose the weight I gained before I had a baby. I think eating less at night is the way to go, because your metabolism is slow at that tym.

Hello friend! I don't have an issue with my weight at this time, but I have done a good amount of research on the matter. If i were you I would take baby steps. Start out with simple changes such as eliminating table salt from every meal. Salt causes you to retain water, a lot of people's extra weight is water weight. Also drinking lots of water helps the process of eliminating wastes and such in your body. Try drinking about 60 oz of water a day! When it comes to foods I know i love them as well! Just try to balance your meals out. Try to have 5 smaller meals instead of 3 really big ones. Also try to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Maybe trade an apple for one of your lesser favorite snack foods. slowly incorporate more good and less bad into your diet. Another big factor, many people disregard is stress. Eliminate as much stress as you can in your life, (easier said than done). Happier is healthier :) And last but not least, Move that body! Nothing crazy, something as simple as walking everyday around the block is great for losing weight. No need for crazy sit ups and pushups or any weight lifting, that just builds muscle, in turn your gaining muscle weight. So your looking at the scale and gaining not losing! Not fair! Oh and silly me of course a good night sleep keeps the body fresh and ready for a wonderful day! Take your time set smaller goals so they are more achievable, once you see results you'll be motivated for more. Good luck I really hope i have been at least even a little bit of help!

And even if you don't get a chance to exercise, at least stay busy, and active doing something, that will keep your body moving and using up calories !

mokmos,
Everyone has great ideas. I have to agree, taking baby steps into a new weight loss regime is the best way to go.
One way to start making changes is to increase the amount of water that you drink. If you are like many people, you probably don't care for water because it is after all, just water. However, you can add some fresh lemon, cucumber or even lime to the water to give it a better flavor. You will want to try and drink at least 2 eight ounce glasses of water before each meal. This will help you feel full and not want to eat as much. Also, water helps to flush out a ton of the impurities in our bodies.
For exercise, start off with a little walk. If you have small children, take them with you. You can make a game of it with them. Don't do it every day at first, maybe one or two times a week to start off with. Walk around the block of your neighborhood. Once you are comfortable, increase the distance that you walk.
Hope this helps and wish you the best of luck in getting fit.

I too am the mother of two children and I am still overweight, but not nearly as much overweight as I was when I was a little bit younger. I have found that for me instead of completely removing foods from my diet, it is better to eat things in moderation. In addition to that, I also find that having children is the best form of exercise that there is. With kids, it is a lot of fun to try to do things with them like bike riding, walking and even playing in the back yard with them.

hi there mokmos,
indeed it is hard to loose weight. hence, it is easy to gain but hard to loose. especially if you love to cook, then, loosing weight is very hard thing to do.
however, if you will do some work-out and exercise, then, you will eventually loose the weight slowly but surely.

Hi I know how you feel and the older you get the harder it seems to get.My wife is really conciencious but she has reached a point where your shape seems to have a mind of its own. From what I have read and seen over the years is that most diets work if you stick to them but realy it's a case of self motivation and discipline. My freind developed diabetes about 2 years ago but he walks about 1m two times a day and his blood sugar is now under control and he has lost loads of weight and kept it off.He does watch what he eats but still has an occasional treat. Best regards James

Well, there are a lot of ways a person can loose weight. Many of the ways would be cutting down on your portions and finding ways to excercise. Maybe go for walks if you can around your neighborhood. Make your kids walk with you. Or do sit ups etc. I know for me I cannot be as active as I would like due to Health issues, but have been able to loose some just by cutting back on what I eat. As for diets there are a lot of things out there... Just need to find something that works Best for you.

As a hypnotherapist, over the years I have helped many people with appetite control. Exercise is important, but more so it the amount we eat. What I have found is that everybody responds differently to different diets and foods, and the biggest problem has nearly always been the foods that we love most of all. We are usually addicted to them, and stopping them too quickly, can cause even more problems.
What works for me and for man of my clients, it not to feel deprived.. I tend to eat 80 per cent of what I feel I am capable of eating. I slowly stopped eating all sugar-based foods, but not too quickly. I cut down by half the amount each month, until I wasn't eating any at all. This includes packets of food and frozen food that has sugar as part of the ingredient.
Sugar is is the main source of problems with weight and health issues. If you go to www.mercola.com (not an affiliate link) and type in - sugar - into the search box there, you will find hundreds of articles on the problems that sugar can cause. With my own health, I have found them to be so true.
I have to accept the fact that I am slightly overweight, but that comes with the ageing process. To worry about it, would only cause stress, and that is far worse.
I have also recently purchase a Wii exercise program that is great to use in the winter when it is cold to be outside too much, and is great fun doing the exercises. I have had exercise bikes and other contraptions that I found boring and soon give up using, but I don't like to miss a day with my Wii exercise games.. I hope some of the information here is helpful to you.. Good luck.. _Derek

Since I quit dancing regularly I gain weight and I cannot manage to eat a less anytime of the day. I go to the gym and done some work outs but it doesn't work, I do gain a lot more because I stop. But recently I got sick a pain in my stomach my doctor said I had a gastroenteritis that's why I need to have a full diet and avoid foods that can cause pain. In that case I loose a lot of weight and although it's not a good reason, I'm happy about the result. Sine then I manage to have a diet I eat breakfast and lunch but at night I don't. After lunch my next meal is after six pm but very light meal like biscuit or bread with a cup of coffee or tea. And unfortunately I maintain my weight now.

It's all about self discipline and determination. Just like you I had a rough time losing weight. I really want to lose weight but I so love to eat. The diet that only works for me is a no rice diet. I eat everything but no rice at all. It did work for me. But then again it all depends on you.

Just eat healthy and don’t worry about going on a diet. Going on a diet means you will end up breaking your diet when you get tired of it or when you lose what you want… maintain a healthy lifestyle for yourself and for your kids. Avoid the stuff that isn’t so healthy and eat more of the stuff that is healthy, and get about 10,000 steps in a day… in other words get on your feet and start walking… I’m walking about a mile and a quarter most days … and sometimes a little more. I would say just watch your portion sizes… and eat healthy.

When I used to belong to a support group called TOPS, that means taking off pounds sensibly. I lost weight by eating sensibly and exercise. The trick is to drink lots of water, carry a bottle of water with you and just sip from it all day long. It really does help and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Always eat breakfast because if you do , you'll lose weight. Eat high fibre cereal or a poached egg and whole wheat toast. Portion size is very important also, your dinner plate should have more vegetables on it than meat or carbs like potatoes. Eat desserts in moderation and stay away from soft drinks and candy, chips. Exercise , start slowly if you don't normally exercise, like walking then after a week or so try to do faster walking or pick an exercise you may stick with and enjoy like swimming or whatever.

Well you just need to burn more calories than you consume. So, if you don't want to change your eating habits, you could start exercising - start out going on walks or bike rides - both which are good for you. Any kind of cardio workout that gets your heart pumping is good for you. You could also try to eat more HEALTHY - find a healthy snack you like or quit drinking soda or even making some small adjustment like that in your diet could change you drastically! Welcome to MyLot! and Good luck to you!

I think to lose weight one needs to eat healthy and do eercise. You need to stop eating all junk food and try and eat healthy food. Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. Also, losing weight is not just about going on a diet. You need to adopt a healthy lifestyle so that you can maintain your energy also and take care of your kids too. So, eat healthy and do excercise too. You can start by taking small walks each day and then increase your ecercise time or join a gym...Good luck with your weight loss.

only dieting will never help to reduce our weight. If we need to reduce our weight we need to make proper exercise and proper dieting for the same. we need to do daily exercise or daily walking and have regular diet control over our foods. this will help to reduce our weight. there are lot of medicines available in market to reduce our weight with out exercise and diet control. Dont go for that as it may harm your health and make side effects.
