Do you left windows open before and while sleeping? What could be the main reason? Any untoward incident encountered? Is it hazardous or beneficial to the health?

Our bedroom is at the ground floor and is a cool place even when summer.
We don't air conditioner, because a rotating fan is already enough to make us sleepy coolly.
But i feel like i am suffocated if all the windows will be closed , hence we leave one pair of window open. It is screened and we have 3 dogs in the front yard and 2 at the backyard, so they serve as our watchmen. They would readily bark, when they sense a stranger , even a strange dog at that is around.

hi there nicanorr,
there are advantages and disadvantages while sleeping with windows open. as this might bring in an advantageous health or a health hazard. however, if and only if, you have left your windows open while sleeping, then, better to take the necessary precautions like drinking a lot of vitamin c and drinking a lot of fluids. so you will prevent getting and acquiring colds. but if not, still it will be best to take vitamins so your body will be guarded in any health hazard.

I live in a village and I don't open my windows while sleeping. It's already cool enough in the room, there's no need to open the windows. Plus, there's a lot of mosquitoes here. Opening the windows are like inviting them to feast on you. Not to mention, I hate mosquitoes' net as it makes me feel suffocated so I never used it.

Where I live there are 2 "seasons". Hot and humid, rain. We have to deal with mosquitoes. At night I always have my windows open (windows have netting and bars) as I cannot stand stuffiness, even if it rains. I like the feel of cold air coming through the windows. And when it rains, the air feels so fresh!
Fresh air is always beneficial to health don't you think?

Not 24 hours. And not a lot of them, just a few here and there. Only when it rains, they try to come in. Or when it's hot and humid and they also try to come in. But when the weather is cloudy, curiously, they are outside :)

I used to sleep at the living room in front of the television. When the weather is quite hot I used to open the window in the living and sometimes forget to closed it when I fall asleep.I think it is not hazardous at all or maybe it depends on the area where we live in.

No way could I. I am way too paranoid about bugs coming into my room.
