I never used to cry not the way I do now a days...the problem is my grandson! he has a drug problem and he ask for money every day and I can't provide that and even if I do it's mean I can't afford to pay my own bills! at the end of the day I just want to walk away from the situation! What do I do?

I am so sorry, alottodo! The wisest thing to do is to say no, but I know it is not easy. But I am sure that giving him money will not help him: he will not try to seek help for his problem. What age is he? Do his parents help him? Can you get counseling for him somewhere?

We all try to help him his mum my other 2 daughter and my son as well but nothing seems to work! he's been in rehab twice and he will start another program next week let's hope that will help! he ask me for money because he knows I won't tell the family about it...he is 25 and he always relied on me for almost every thing...his father is out of the picture since he was 4 so no support there!today his mum and my eldest daughter were here we had a long talk and I agreed if he ask me for money I will let them know I was just carrying the burden on my own for too long so I had to let them know. Thank you for responding and thank you for caring.

I'm not the best person to answer this because i have never been a parent. But, in this situation, though you love your grandson, you shouldn't give him the money. Because if you do, both of you will suffer and the situation will get worse. I think it is probably best to move away from him.

How awful for you. I know it must be heart breaking. Like other posters have said you need to try tough love. it will be hard on both of you but best for all. Best of luck to you. Praying!

It is heart breaking to know he is doing harm to himself and driving the family to dispair as well.Thank you for responding.

Did you tell Him that you can't give him anymore money? Because I do think that is what you have to let him know that you care for him enough to not let him have the money to help him to destroy himself.
