I heard the news that picnik is closing down on April 19, 2o12. This is my fav website to edit my photos on. I've been editing as many as I can. They are giving away free premium photo edits before they close down. I think thats cool, but I'm still sad that they're closing. Its a popular website, that a lot of people use. What are your thoughts on this? Do you feel dissapointed? Does anyone even know why they're closing the website?

So sad to hear that. I'm shocked about this news. Picnik was a nice site. For all I know is it was one of the first and pioneering online editors on the internet. It has become very popular too; they in fact integrated it with Picasa photo Editor, Flickr(editor), and many others. Later on after Picnik came out, many other online editor came out imitating Picnik. I think that's the reason why they closed? Or maybe they just ran out of funds maintaining Picnik.

Everyone always refers to picnik to be the best photo editing site. The only good news is that all the premium features on it is free until it closes down. I always used this website. I never really tried other ones. I've tried a couple minor ones a long time ago that sucked. Picnik was always the best. They do incredable things for my photos. All my photos I edited with them always came out so colourful and clear.

I don't know why. I've been wondering. You should go on Picnik because all the premium features are free there all the way up til they close down! They have awesome edits there. I can make my teeth white and put on realistic lipstick. Its awesome. I am very disapointed that they are closing down!

I have no idea, I do not use it, but it could be the bad economy and even good sites are closing down. I do think that with photos people do need more choice at where they put their photos and what you say about editting well that is not that good with it closing.

Hi Java: Oh I know it I was introduced to this site thanks to my sister who is really good at designing and even if I am not a regular fan I use it to edit my pictures. It's sad that they have to shut down but at the same time I know there will be more offers on the Internet. We have to recover and look for other possibilities.

This is a terrible new to hear. Actually I am very disappointed. Giving such freebies is good but I hope they given the free premium account earlier. Who knows many users of picnik will liked it and upgrade voluntarily. I have no idea why they are closing the site. But one thing I know for sure the money they are receiving are not enough to sustain the needs of the company.
