What do you feel eating alone? With no one to talk too, or no one to share too?
Yesterday my daughter did not went home for lunch, for she has so many things to do in school. That's why I ate by myself, I felt sad eating alone. I felt that I have no appetite to eat.

I find eating alone too lonesome but I have experienced that too lately. I am living alone for almost a month now away from my family. I have something to attend to, that is why I have to go alone because my wife had to attend to the needs of my children who are still studying. Sometimes I ate outside just to have a company while eating but it turn out that it's more expensive than do your own cooking.
Yes, sometimes we do lost our appetite because we have no one to talk to while eating.

Yhea your right eating outside with friends makes more expensive than cooking for your self. The one time eating can enjoy the whole day meal.

Ha ha ha, your absolutely right. So I guess I will just prefer my own meal so I can save. Anyway it's just for another month I hope and I think I can cope with that.

I can go all day without eating anything when I'm alone... I usually have no appetite when I have no one to share my meals with, and only eat when I get really hungry. When I'm very bored I can kill time by eating though, and earlier I had no problem with eating alone, I enjoyed it as much as I do when I eat with others.

But it is also bad skipping meals, you can eat less but not to skip meals. I hope you try to avoid that.

eating alone is not that bad...but if you were used to have companions when you eat then that would be a big problem.you will lose your appetite if ever you eat alone...but to solve it,i think the best way is to think of those happy times that you were eating with someone close to you, that way you can it again as if there is no tomorrow lol...

I'm happy and your lucky to have your husband with you. I'm a single mom and only my youngest daughter is with me, that's why I miss someone with me when I'm eating alone.

Sometimes it's okay, sometimes no.
In your situation, i think it's okay since your daughter has a good reason not to be eating lunch with you. Her education is also important. Besides, this is only temporary.
Um, but being alone eating for a very long time with no one around to talk to. Well, just focus on how good the food is, watch tv and you're good. that's what i do so i don't get bored or lonely eating alone.

It happened to me every year when my daughter went for his father for a vacation break. It's hard but I must accept it.

sometimes i have this "my time" where in a feel relax being alone eating alone cooking just for myself and it feels good, but most of the time of course it is a lot of fun to cook for your loved ones and eat with them and exchange stories while eating.

I also think sometimes all people feel like eating alone. I think it is same thing like spending time alone. I think if one feels eating alone one should do it. I personally thin that I feel like eating with friends because most times I talk and eat rather than silent and eat.
I think you must have felt sad eating alone and I would suggest you to eat with your friends or neighbors who are closer or family members when you feel like you do not want to eat alone.

I don't mind eating alone. I guess it's something I've got used to as I've lived alone for many, many years. However, I do quite like to visit restaurants where so long as they don't make too much noise, I don't mind having the other diners around me.

hi there. i feel the same way too. when i am just alone, i feel that i have less appetite for eating and sometimes i forgot the time to east. i will just remember to eat when i feel hungry. it is really nice when you are eating with your family or friends. your appetite is high and you will eat much.

I don't feel different if I eat alone or with others. I like to eat in peace without the never ending chatting or conversations about nothing. I like a hot meal to be hot and not cold and to eat in my own tempo instead of being rushed by others.

i can relate to your feelings cause it happened to me too, but as time goes by i never felt lonely eating alone anymore. in fact i like to eat alone cause i don't have to care whether i will use disposable plates or not and i have to cook only for myself and reheat those leftovers when i like.

Eating alone is really a horrible thing. There should be somebody to talk with us and share feelings with us.Eating with family will give u more happiness than eating alone. But in some cases we have to eat alone, if we don't want also. That time nobody can eat stomach fully i guess..

Hi lynboobsy,
I don't mind eating alone. After all eating is to survive and I don't like to spend too much time eating. However, if I'm eating with someone or a group of people than it takes me a longer time to consume my meal as I'll be busy talking and listening to others.

Every one of us do have a different personality. I'm a self-confessed Introvert, it means that I love to be alone. I can eat alone all by myself. Eating alone is not new to me. I'm used to it.

I also felt alone but i actually liked it because i get to observe everyone around me( more like people watching...hehe) and i also get time to reflect about the things I've done for the day. :) it actually depends on the person really. I mean if you're the kind who always has a companion everywhere you go, then it would be kind of a bummer eating alone but if you like spending quality "you" time, then it would be good for you.
