Hi everyone!
My friends and I are going to Singapore in a few months and we're now looking for a place to stay at. We're looking for a budget hotel but at the same time, is in a good location. We don't want hostels because of the shared bathroom. (It's a peeve of ours) So far, the cheapest that I found was in Geylang, which I learned to be the red light district, and obviously we're not planning on staying there. So where do you think next cheapest district is? I went there before and stayed in one of the hotels in Orchard Road with my family. But I'm travelling now with my friends and we're all on a budget.
Is Little India okay? I think they have the cheapest hotels next to Geylang. I was just wondering if it's safe there especially at nights because a taxi driver told us that there are times when the crowd goes rowdy there? I'm simply relaying what someone told me and it doesn't mean that I believe it. But of course I just want to be sure. Anyway, is it alright? Because I know for a fact that it's in a nice location. If not, where should we check next? I was also looking at Bugis and I also like it, but I'm curious if there are other districts that we could stay in that would be cheap but accessible at the same time.
Hoping for your answers. Thanks in advance!
