I think the lessons around Mandela's life are: that good things come to those who wait...forgive others for the wrongs they have done(even if you do not forget)

I think that is why he got the Nobel Prize for Peace...
Because he had a goodpoint about forgiveness.
I sure he had good intentions, but I am not sure that all he said should be taken for granted.
Of course, you can try and forgive everybody and not seek revenge, but some people never cease to harm you, so those have to be thought a lesson.
You can not let someone stomp on you and everytime he does say "Its okay, I forgive you, please, jump higher, and crush me".
I am a pacifist myself, and I get angry really hard, but I am not an adept to the "turn the other cheek" phrase.
