Daylight Savings Time

Tommorrow , we set out clocks forward one hour , in the fall, we set them back one hour and in the spring , spring ahead one hour. Some people hate this time change because it messes with their sleep and work and so on. I don't really notice much difference except since it's still March, it will be darker when we get up in the morning. Do you have DST ?, or does your time stay the same?, like our neighbouring province Saskatchewan , who is in the middle of the country. Your thoughts on how this may effect your life, MY LOt, friends!

Yes we have it.. my daughter just told me about setting the new time.. I don't have to... I don't have any clocks to set... I have my computer and my phone which set themselves. I love DST because it stays light till about 9 PM.

I guess for the most part it's a good thing. But I really wouldn't mind just keeping it the daylight savings time all year long. It doesn't really affect my life that much. It is kind of cool in the fall that you get that extra hour in the fall.

Daylight savings time doesn't effect me in any way. I just got on with my normal business I do on a daily basis. It does suck that it's darker in the morning but i'm used to going to work in the dark now because I have to be to work by 630am every day so that's not going to bother me at all. I like how it's going to stay light out later now though, more walking for me to do to keep my exercise going. I love spring warmer weather and more outdoor time.

I live in Montreal, so we'll be changing our time. It's not something that I'm always a fan of. Especially as I feel it disrupts things a little. I'm not against the entire thing. It's just something that takes time for me to get used to, and adapt to.

I say, No to daylight savings! Through the whole winter, I have kept the majority of my clocks to the summer daylight savings time, it's a protest I have against changing the clocks. I hate it when the fall daylight savings happens, and it's darker so much earlier, and I hate it when we loose an hour to the day in the spring. It helped people back in the days before electricity, but now, it doesn't help, at all. I say, we should stick to the summer time, and cancel out all daylight savings time! There's no reason for it!

I say no to daylight saving time as well. It messes up my whole world and then it takes time to get use to the light in the morning. To top it off I will think I am late because the light is shining. I would be interested as well concerning those in the middle of the country. How about Alaska? It is always light there because of the snow. Do they have DST as well.

grrrr yes, here in Ontario we lose an hour of sleep tonight and i have to get up for church in the morning too. i am a horrible sleeper and don't get restorative sleep so i always feel exhausted when i wake up in the morning and it will take me a good week to get used to the time change.

I thik it's a waste of time. It was first implemented for financial reasons. People would be more likely to stay out when the sun was up, and there for spend more money. If the sun was in the morning before work they wouldn't do that. Also gas companies love it because people are more likely to go places, therefor more gas used and bought. Farmers don't use a clock to do there work, the animals and plants are on a natural schedule not an artificial one that runs by a clcok, and the only time they worry about the clock is dealing with other people, which if you work on a farm is rare. It doesn't help people in the long run. I figure there is so many hours of light and so many hours of night, and since I have mostly worked 2nd and 3rd shift, I don't care about day or night as much (I sleep more during daylight hours then night hours).

I hate this stupid time change. Mostly because my mind was still getting on track from the last stupid time change back in November. I just was mentally right. Allegedly, it is because it is to save on energy, or so that is the official, alleged answer. Which allegedly is not really true when you logically think about it. Really, I'm still having the lights on for the same amount of time during the day, but it is just different hours. But sadly, this useless thing will keep rather happening. Much to my utter distaste. Other countries have done away with it. Which is a good thing, and it does prove that there are still people with brains out there. Everything I keep looking at the clock, it does seem to be later than it should be. And plus to spring the time back only to put it back about seven months later is the utter definition of all things absurd.
