Don't get me wrong, I like to make various types of food with several types of ingredients, etc. but I have never been good at trying new foods to this extreme. The cauliflower was actually pretty good and I had it with noodles, mushrooms, soy sauce, asparagus and broccoli.
I was very surprised that trying Cauliflower would not be as bad as I originally thought! What does everyone else think of it?

I like it in salads with a nice dressing added to it. Another way that my family likes to eat it is in a casserole. Use fresh or frozen, fresh is better. Then place it in a casserole dish and put a layer of cream of mushroom soup over it. Then place a layer of cheese over that and bake until the cheese has melted. You can also substitute cream of broccoli or any other cream soup of your choice, they all work well for this.

Welcome to mylot!!!
I love cauliflwer. When I was little I hated it, but discovered when older that I had eaten it overcooked. I cook it al dente and eat it as an warm entree with mayo, white sauce and grated chesse or just olive oil and salt. As a main dish I make quiches and puddings adding some diced cheese. I also eat it raw, marinated with plenty of good red grape vinegar. I place some sauce on the side to serve as appetizer. In that case, my favorite is homemade mayo with crushed garlic. YUMMY!!!

Sometimes things get stuck in your head about something will taste before its even been tried. A lot of the time my children will say they don't like something without even giving it a go. My reply is to give it a go - if they don't like it okay, but sometimes they can't get enough of something new.

I'm not really much of a fan of cauliflowers but they do complement our version of chop suey. It's a Chinese dish made up of vegetables with meat viands and stir-fried. Since the dish is sort of a mixed of flavors, the somewhat listless taste of cauli flower sort of neutralizes some of the stronger flavor :)

if you grind them in food processor, put in a pyrex bowl, no added anythign and bakeit in the microwave for few minutes, they will taste exactly like rice. You can also make low calorie, "mashed potatoes out of them" Cauliflower is perfect for stirfrying in oyster sauce and some meat or seafoodof your choice.usually american kids hates them cos their parents just steam them.

I don't like it by itself because it tastes kind of bland. However with some strong flavored food its quite good. I eat it with cheese or with curry. I have never tried it with soy sauce, but I guess it would taste good so maybe I will try that next time :D. You ate those by themselves? If that's so how did you serve it? In a soup?

Cauliflower can taste good if it's well made, though I hardly even eat it by itself, I rather mix it with other vegetables. This is the veggie that I eat because it's healthy, and not because I enjoy it... or I would say I can enjoy it when I'm in the mood for eating it.

Cauliflower's O.K I guess. I definitely wouldn't eat it for fun though. It's just a food that I can handle eating because it's healthy.

Mmm that sounds really good! I've never had it like that before. I have fond memories of my grandmother cooking up plain cauliflower with seasonings she's never shared with me that was delicious - it was one of my favorites! I also love mashed cauliflower with a bit of curry or cinnamon to pair with squash and fish :)
