Life is to be enjoyed. God put us on this earth to live life to the fullest, multiply ourselves and love one another. How hard can this be? I just don't understand why we have depression in the world. Why can't people just enjoy what God has giving us? Is it so hard to wake up in the morning and want to encourage one another or smile to make someone's day. At work I smile all day long no matter what I am doing and many co-workers ask, "why are you so happy"? I reply,"I am truly Blessed"! Why are so many people angry, upset or depressed? Does it have to do with your location? I am in the Northwest and because it rains a lot they say people are depressed but I see it as liquid sunshine. Gods way of saying I am supplying the rain so your trees can grow and it stays green. Can anyone tell me is that the case in your part of the world?

Life is something that should be enjoyed in theory. Of course, there are days where that theory does get challenged and tested to the absolutely highest level whatsoever. There are times where when we might not enjoy life all that much, because there is some test, some trial right in our life. There are always going to be problems. The real measure is finding a way to get past all of the problems, all of the issues, and just enjoy life anyway.
It can be tough. That much is for certain. But life can be a joy, it can be a blast. It can be something that can really put a smile on the face of people. But only if you let it. That is the problem, some people let the often times dismal nature of the world get the better of them. Granted there is no reason why you can't strive for higher heights, but there are times where we should be content and enjoy life in the meantime.

My glass is always more than half full...as well. I also feel very blessed and one way that I'm blessed is that I'm able to live life with an optimistic point of view.
I dare say that you...my friend...are also very optimistic.
Some people are stuck in pessimism. I've often wondered why. I was recently reading my book called Prescription For Nutritional Healing and it's says if a person is experiencing a Niacin (Vitamin B3) deficiency they can expect to be pessimistic.
There could be many other reasons why people dwell on the downside of life where they might experience depression.
Post partum depression is an example of a hormone imbalance and/or chemical imbalance that can cause a problem with mental health. Depression is an indication that a person is mentally ill so it may not be as simple...for some folks...to be happy as it is for others.

If this would only be the mindset and attitude of all people, then I think we won't be facing a lot of the problems we do right now. But I guess there are different factors that challenges this mindset. Or maybe these factors are only used as an excuse. But one possible reason is that not all people believe in God and as such they are cynical of things and find it hard to appreciate the creations around them.

Life is too short to be problematic, stress and depressed. Our world is a nice place to enjoy and live life to the fullest. It is us people who choose which life to take.We have to be content of what we have and try to maximize it to the fullest for us to be happy and enjoy life.It is our choice to choose what we wanted.

Based on psychology, humans are NEVER contented... that's how it is, which is sad. :( Once a human attains his goal, he starts to look for more. Thin people wanting to be chubby, chubby people wanting to be thin, white people wanting tanned skin, tan people wanting white skin.... and etc.
