what tv series you like more? i post this discussion it's because i found the drama is very different, the words they use is in different way.sometimes i could easily get what the actors express from the american tv,but it'll sometimes take me a few minutes to think for a while about british actors' words... so,i want you to comment on it,from any sides you want, not just drama words,,, like anything you want to compare is all ok~~~ i'm glad your comments~~~

It depends on the story or the plot series. Right now, UK tv series like Sherlock, Misfits, Downton Abbey and Being Human are definitely good tv.

I've had BBC America off and on at different times (right now it's of because I downgraded my cable service to save money) and I've usually found at least a few shows that I like that are better than American TV, especially American versions of British shows. For example, the British version of Being Human, which is the original, has much more believable actors. The British version of Skins was probably also better because the American version was cancelled before I even saw it. The American of Life on Mars was a terrible rip off where they couldn't even change the name of the town the main character came from. I also used to watch Law and Order: UK where many of the stories were based on the original American show, yet it was interesting to see how they were transposed. I recently got a Roku 2 and subscribed to Netflix where I've found some of the BBC shows I've missed so I can do some catching up.

I am starting to enjoy more British shows over many that American TV keeps offering.. I love having BBC America to watch.. I only wish I could see all shows... Maybe there are more I am missing that I would enjoy.. There are so few American shows and they keep cancelling them after one season.. just when you get into them and start looking forward to them the pull the rug out from under you... I hate Big Corporations!

Definately the UK series and movies. They are way better, and thid also includes the humour, kind of language plus the criminals! US series and movies are alway loud, like screaming, lot of nonsense fighting, scolding, cursing, etc. Also the stories are mostly the same.

I still prefer to watch American programs more than anything else. They are more familiar to me, and I can't really relate to British or Australian programs. Except maybe when it comes to soccer, I'd watch any program which happen to air the games.
