My b-day will be on march 14 and I don't know if I will still gonna celebrate it or not. I'm away from home and working here in KSA. I really miss them, miss the people in the philippines. I feel sad because it's gonna be the first b-day I'm not there, not with family and friends so it's nonsense to celebrate it right? Hmmm...

First off, belated happy birthday!
I hope that you still managed to celebrate the day. Even if it was a simple celebration. Or if you've managed to call 'the important' people in your life on the day itself, and you've appreciated their importance and support for you even though you're far away.

Even if your family is not with you,you can celebrate it with your colleagues & the new friends you've made.C'mon.It's your birthday & you're supposed to celebrate it even if it's just lunch w/these new folks.I'm sure your family & friends here remember your birthday. It would be good to keep in touch with them (preferably via skype)so you won't feel lonely.

Do not let the fact that your loved ones are far away! Celebrate your Birthday by doing something pleasant for yourself! Give yourself a present(like a day off to spend it as you wish,a movie,a shopping spree ,even is just buying something small).Celebrate, because these are days that will not come back!So be good to yourself and have some fun! Here is my "HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!" wish for you,and many, many returns.joy and happiness mixed with lots of luck!!

So you are from the Philippines too. I know what you are feeling right now. I have my family and relatives working and living abroad and I know how hard it is when such occasion arrives. Same with other special occasions like x-mas, new year we/they can't feel total happiness due to this long distance and homesickness we/they are battling with.
Happy Birthday and wish you all the best - keep smiling. :)

I know your going to miss your family and friends. We have to learn how to celebrate our own lives everyday. have un and find something to do on your birthday. Write about it iin a journal, go out to eat, a movie and shopping. I love being by myself at times, get to know yourself.

happy birthday!
even though your far from your loved ones on your special day by means of technology. you can video chat with them or call them.
dont think of reasons not to be happy, instead appreciate the blessing you received and be thankful for the undening guidance/wisdom you and your family/friends that our God gave to you.

Birthdays will come around no mater who is in or out of your life. Your birthday should be youe special day. You are the person who matters most on this day, Try to have a happy birthday just for yourself and noone else. if somebosy can share in your joy it will be more of a celebration but the true celebration needs to start from within.

Before anything else, advance happy birthday to you. I do experienced the same thing most of the time. My family never forgets to call me on that day, sometimes we chat. With the latest technology available today I guess our loneliness will be lessen if we use this technology. I know it's different if you are with your family but in the meantime it would suffice until the time you went back home.

Although I understand how you feel, I think you should still celebrate it anyway. Why can't you buy yourself something special for dinner and a piece of cake for yourself. Also, but something you would like to have. After all, it is still your special day. Happy birthday to you.

It is really sad when you don't have with you your loved ones during your birthday. I bet my father would feel like that too. However, you can still celebrate your birthday and it will be a happy one if you call your family or video chat with them on the day of your special day my friend.

It is usually the worst feeling ever. I remember every time my family are having some celebrations, my sister does call me and inform. I usually make sure that I call them during the celebrations but still I don't get satisfied by simple calling since I am not there with them.

yes it must be awful being apart from your family and friends especially on your birthday, but maybe if nothing else you can come in here and be with your Mylot family, I do hope you have a happy birthday and I hope you don't have to spend it on your own.

It's really different if you celebrate your birthday with your family and friends, especially those you consider very important to you. And the first time can really be saddening. But I don't think it would help harboring sadness on your birthday. I mean, it would only make you miss them more. Try to fight that sadness off with happy thoughts. Get in touch with them. I think even just a few minutes talking with them would make your birthday so much better :)

aww im sorry to hear that.. but i think you should try to be happy whether your birthday is near or not.. sometimes staying positive bring positive things too
I know how hard it is to be away with your family but there are sacrifices in every choice we took.. Im sure they miss you too..
You can chat on them though and celebrate it simply..feels like they are there too..

Aw.. That is so sad to hear. I am sorry to hear that. I think we can do nothing about it. But we can take advantage of the technology right now. Try chatting with them online, its recommended to use webcam! Skype has that functionality. You can celebrate with your family simultenously. You can eat at the same time, while seeing each other.
Do not mind that you are not with your family physically. What's important is you are in each other's hearts. You are there in KSA because of them in the first place right?
