This campaign went viral. I don't know if anybody here supported this.
For those who aren't aware. As what I've read from youtube, Kony is a film campaign to make Joseph Kony famous in order to raise support for his arrest, to give justice to those invisible children who were his victims. Child slavery, training them at an early age to use guns, use young girls as s*ex slaves. My heart was crushed watching the first few scenes of the video in Uganda. I couldn't continue watching because it was painful.
However, many comments were negative, not about the the Kony story, but the film campaign. There were harsh comments like they were using the story to gain money out of donations.
There are questions arising from this one:
Is Kony real? Does he really exists? With the power of the internet..It gets harder and harder to tell if this or that person, or this or that website is giving fact or not.

Well I've the same concerns as you, however a few well known celebrities have supported the cause. In fact it's been reported that the popluarity of the film is as a result of an Oprah fan twittering her discovery to the big O herself, who in turn passed it on to other celebrities resulting in this viral explosion of this mini documentary.
It looks legit, and I would hope to think that a guy could waste all that man power and effort to con people as a way to gain money out of donations.

I believe the Kony guy is real but I also believe this criminal can be easily eliminated by special forces in any top nation and in any time. But because politics and corruption often goes together, there's always conspiracy theory involved in it. It's like saying "oh no, let's not kill Kony yet, that's too easy... let's use him first, fund his evil plans and when their country feels helpless already, we'll be the heroes to save their day!"...

i agree, it is not easy to eliminate people like him. if it was that easy, he would have already captured a long time ago and no more children is abducted, killed, trained to kill their parents, and be s*x slaves!

I have absolutely no idea about this person. it can be two things, this person is not a real one, or it can be the truth. But then if it is the truth, how come there is such a need for a campaign to be built against him... why is his government allowing him to do these things knowing that what he is doing is really not what ought to be done by someone.
I guess this is why many people are not all for the idea of the campaign because he becomes famous and yet nobody even knows if he's a real live person or not.

I have seen this story being posted around Twitter, and by the number of famous people, celebrities and journalists alike, who have passed this around, I have to believe it's real. It seems to be a story that has exploded. Good for you for questioning if it is legit or not. It seems everyone just accepts things as real if someone famous is talking about it.

hi there,
i believe in this campaign. we cant deny that there a lot of horrible things like this that happen in the world even up to now. if you watch the news and documentaries you would understand. those people who would say it is not true then maybe they also have their own reason. but to me, it is true.
