Through out history humans have warred with each other, this activity brings out the very worse in us. Always before these terrible deeds were hidden or at the very most known only to a very few. But folks we are now in the age of communication, world wide communication. The secrets are out of the bag and never will be returned to that bag. Humans can no longer get away with horrendous actions toward each other, someone some where will know and record the events. The shame will be world wide. Do you think that there is hope for reform? Blessings

While I do think that in the age of technology there is more chances that secrets of war can and will be busted, I don't think that this will always be the case when it comes to things that go on with war.
I also don't tend to think that there will ever be an end to war in the world because as long as there are human beings there are going to be conflicts and as long as there are conflicts there will be a lot of people that think that the solution to conflict is violence.

Hi savypat, I guess there is always hope but humans have a long way to go yet. I sometimes think that we are on the verge of something new but it could go either way. We do have the means to destroy life on the planet or at least send us back to the stone age. We have made some progress however but I think some big decisions will have to be made, probably within the next ten years. Blessings.

We'll see. There are several people worldwide who are calling for the attrosities to stop. I wish people would learn how to handle things without war, but many dictators in power have no desire to relinguish power.

i think people will realize the truth now with so much information and evidence at their disposal. the sad thing about it is there have been wars that were not necessary. vietnam and the second iraq war were not necessary. both were started on false accusations. if you research vietnam the navy thought they were attacked at sea. it turns out that later was proven false. everyone already knows about the b.s. of the second iraq war. the korean war wasn't necessary either. newer generations won't be fooled as easily into falling into the same old excuses for going to war.

There is always hope because we are still alive. The moment we die, there will never be hope if we made the wrong choice. I do believe that reformation is good but there's something better than that, which is what we need. I'm referring to TRANSFORMATION. We are admonished by the late Apostle Paul to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We need to have some transformation in the way we think about different areas of our lives. War is still going on even this very moment. There is the internal war inside us. One part of our brain says, do this, do that. The other side says, don't do it, just sleep. There is the outer war between different opinions. Mylot is a ground where the battle is waged - the battle of discussions.

Hello :). I would like to enjoy world peace, but that is impossible. War is a natural side of life, animals have wars as soon as their groups get big enough to need to expand their turfs to accommodate its population. It happens in ants, bees and chimps. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7XuXi3mqYM is of some chimps using stealth, surprise attacks and psychological warfare against other chimps for figs (which would be a luxury food). Even plants wage war against each other, growing rapidly to over grow other type of plants and control the ground by casting shadow over them and killing them. Conflicts are a natural thing, and war is the solution of conflicts by a show of power. And while one could argue that we are intelligent enough to have no need to resort to violence, the truth is that not everything can be solved peacefully, specially when its about ambiguous things like living comfortably, since "comfortably" is a nice way of saying being better than others. And while the open world wide communications help controlling the worse of war, there are things that happen all the time and no one hears. And even if someone were to know about something so bad one couldn't accept it, there is the possibility that people would chose to ignore it in order to ripe benefits of such act or just out of fear of being targeted. So no, there's no hope of reform, because for that people would need to change first, and we haven't.

Only through God & not the governments of this world. God's plan was originally for us to love one other no matter what nationality nor race we are, but man has ruined any chance of that with their hate & greed. People show honor & pride toward their country & government when it should be shown toward God & God only. He is the ONLY one who can bring about true peace in this world. No president nor government will ever put our needs first, only God will.
