What's so wrong with Internet Explorer 8?

Seems more and more I'm hearing people rag on IE 8. I'm still using it and am starting to question, 'What's so wrong with it?' I also have downloaded Opera onto my computer months and months ago. I thought I'd get some good use out of it, but have only used it a handful of times. It's super fast, I like that about it and a few other things from what I've gathered so far. Maybe I'm just accustomed to IE and that's why I hardly use the other. I did try upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 before I got Opera and I can't remember why now but for some reason, I couldn't. I am getting tired of the slowness I've been experiencing with IE. It's recently become a nuisance. Is that one of the reasons people are moving/have moved away from IE? Are you still using IE? Are you okay with it or do you prefer another internet browser? What's the best browser for someone like me who's finally ready for a real change?

IE 8 is giving me more headache than helping me whenever i started using it, it is becoming worse with every new IE version, it seem like microsoft is not making any effort trying to improve their broswer with every upgrade to newer version, it is getting old and very slow, not even mentioned it always acted with uncertainty with my new OS, the only thing i can think of from using IE is more grief for me, there is always too many spyware n malware come bundled with this browser from microsoft in order to steal personal information, IE has reach a point where it is only good for my malware catcher and anti virus software so to speak....it is time to ditch this crappy browser to rid yourself more head and heartaches if possible.

Are you still using XP? That could be the reason you couldn't download IE9. It is incompatible with XP.
People all have different opinions on what browser they like and why this or that browser sucks. It is what YOU like or prefer that counts. I have IE9, Firefox, and Opera on my computer with Opera as my default. It is what I like, but it doesn't mean everyone else will too.

Hi,I was also a user of IE8 like you,but i after jan,12 i switched over to mozilla firefox,it is much faster, opens much more page than IE8.
IE8 gave me a lot of trouble, sometimes it fell to open pages, page opening up is very slowly most of the times.
I am using firefox now,it's much more reliable, fast and secure i think.
Anyway happy mylotting.

Personally i think internet Explorer 8 or 9 is quite slow and something very late respond. I still cannot using the internet Explorer 8 and just change my web browser. I currently using Mozilla Firefox is quite interesting, speed, and overall good web browser compare to Internet Explorer.
I better suggest you to use Mozilla Firefox as your internet browser. Change or upgrade the Internet explorer 8 to 9 still not a good idea. You must try to use new software that available that more advances. Here the link also you can download any type of software for free. try it now.

You can download all type software, drivers of computer, tutorials, even games for totally free.

Hey, Victor, thanks for the response and the link. I'll definitely check it out. I am leaning more and more towards Firefox. I keep hearing good things about it.
