These days students in our school have a practice that every day they put up a different slogan on the wall to encourage themselves to study hard .Today i saw one saying " happiness makes people numd, while unhappiness progressive".Seeing this, i think a lot. Indeed happiness makes people satisfied with themselves ,maybe making them stop going on to make more progress. But happiness makes people have a feeling of success, which may inspire them to go further. If one is not satisfied with himself and he wants to change ,unhappiness or pain give him strength to change .But in some cases, many people will lose heart and subject to his fate.

Honestly to tell that happiness and unhappiness are a part of life every humans go through everyday. We should accept it and really cannot run out from. Of course, the happiness is makes happy mood, brings a colorful environment, laugh and joy. It is makes the moment is sweet and such a great feeling. But, unhappiness is makes any person is quiet, sad mood, freeze and something a disaster. Every humans doesn't like to have a unhappiness moment in their life, same as me too.

Honestly speaking, one can't be happy oy unhappy all the time. Life is made up of happiness and unhappiness. what counts is that when happy, one shouldn't take it for granted;when unhappiness, one shouldn't lose heart.Take life as it is .Be grateful ,and strong to make life colorful .

I really agree with you. I think they have the wrong viewpoint regarding happiness. Happiness doesn't make you numb or complacent if you don't allow it to be so. Happiness can actually be a great motivator to do more. That's why we have the concept of rewarding people for a hob well done. We know that by keeping a person happy, his motivation wouldn't wane. Although it's also true that unhappiness can also push someone to work harder, not all are able to do this. I mean, the emotional weight of being sad could be a big hindrance to their making progress. We need to overcome that unhappiness first in order to really make great progress in any of our undertakings.

It has always been life's choices. But obviously, who does want a miserable life? Everyone clamors and is deserving for happiness. It's not an easy way to achieve that for happiness is formed from the entirety of it. It is the way a person's perspective that influence her/him.

Of course, happiness! It's what we aim for in life. And it's true that anger makes you do more, become better but that's not a good approach at all. You have to detach from that kind of feeling. It's never been healthy to us. When you get everything what you want and yet still not satisfied, maybe happiness lacks in the picture. So happiness is a vital role in us, human beings. It is what makes us glow and feel good while on the other hand unhappiness makes us stiff and envious. All the negative things will surface in it. So have a nice day and be happy all the time! :)

I think the slogan is using different words than I would use. If a person is stuck in a rutt they might be unhappy but not necessarily motivated to improve their situation.
Some people are motivated to accomplish great things from within and others might be motivated when they are in love.
When people are happy and content they are in a stronger position to take steps toward self improvement to increase their happiness.
