I don't know if you agree with me but this is actually I am feeling right now. When I open my Facebook account, people are busy posting where they are and what they are doing. I am not that type of person. I just logged out when it find it boring. Unlike before, I would spend my whole time just Facebooking.
But now everything has changed. It gets even boring when I switched to Facebook Timeline now that I can't switch back to the old one. I feel like deactivating my account but I can't because there I receive updates about my school stuffs.

Well, Facebook is for all of us to network in a social platform and some people choose to get in touch using this kind of media. Some 3 years ago, I wasn't that into Facebook as, from what you've said, there's really nothing to see as people post useless updates about themselves and some even post things about love which I don't really want to see. But ever since I got passionate about my interest which is in aviation, I joined a group in Facebook and that group is where every aviation lover discuss news about aircrafts and aviation industry and sometimes it's even fun to chat about something about aircrafts together in the page. This page was first started by a Youtube user who makes excellent flight simulation videos and to date, there are over 2000 users inside, all of whom love aviation. So, my main purpose of Facebooking is to go to that page everyday and see what news they have and my own profile and sometimes from my wall, I will post interesting stories and funny videos and pictures for my friends to see. I'm sure you've heard of 9gag right? And you should've seen those troll faces right? I post some of those pictures to my wall and have a good laugh after that. To me, Facebook is interesting because of all those troll faces and I don't know when I'll get bored too. One thing though, I seldom visit other people's walls.

9gag always makes me laugh my friend. Yes, I have seen it. My friends in Facebook always share it. Really the pictures in their were very funny and somehow true. That is only the time I can say Facebook is not boring.
I can see that you love aviation related matters. You must then be thankful to Facebook because those who love aircraft were able to unite in one single page. I salute the group.
Thanks!

I really felt that Facebook was becoming really boring in 2011 when I stopped playing online games over there and I removed lots of false friends and I didn't know what to do there when I logged in everyday so I just left it!

i am not really fond of spending too much time on facebook and rather on mylot. i do not feel so close with friends, even with real life closed friends. on mylot i feel more secured and closed with people around here, as i can tell more about my problems. i just continue to have my account on fb to keep in touched with family and other people from distance places.

Earlier I would spend hours on fb playing games, but honestly now I don't login too much on fb. I don't find fb games interesting anymore. I didn't know that we cannot switch back to old fb profile once we switch to timeline. If it is so, I am happy that I didn't try that. I also like watching pics of my cousins and friends and I do leave comments on the pics.

Yes, my friend. There is no way those who switch to Facebook timeline to switch back to the old one. We just have to wait until they have new layout. I hope sooner enough! I can't wait. Anyway, same like you, what I do in Facebook is to check pictures and updates of my friends there. That way I get to enjoy Facebook.

Nah, since I reduce my time usage for Facebook-ing, then Facebook being less boring for me :p.
And since you are using word "becoming boring", I assume that there were times when you think Facebook is awesome and you got addicted with it. Perhaps you are using Facebook too much so now you are boring with it..

I find fb boring as well. Started with it longer ago mostly to play some games. I can't play them anymore (perhaps my connection or pc too slow?) and the rest is boring to me. I never made new friends over there, don't need it to stay in touch with my old friends or family. I am also not interested in the nonsense talk people post at my wall.

I agree with you. I also get bored on Facebook. Before, I spent most of my time on Facebook but now everything has changed. But I will still keep my account there. It is the easiest way to get connected with my family and friends. Happy mylotting!

I actually do more playing games than I do anything else on facebook. I do use it to keep in touch with my family which is spread out over a few states. I am like you, sometimes I log in and it is boring, also, all the posts saying where someone is and what they are doing, well, they get kinda old...I mean seriously, I don't need to know everywhere you go eat, etc.

Yes, we all have our own reasons and purposes why we have Facebook. I also play games like tetris battle. I play when I miss playing it. It is good to hear that you use your Facebook for keeping in touch with your loved ones. As for me I use it for my classmates in college because they are just my friends there.

I do agree with you. I used to spend hours on facebook everyday, but now it seems like it is all the same things posted everyday. I don't feel the need to know every thought and action my friends take and there are too many invites for games that I don't have time to play. Still, I keep my facebook account because it helps me stay in contact with family and friends.

Thanks for agreeing with me my friend Woody. Do you still remember the times we are very hooked up with Facebook? We would be called Facebook addicts! It is worth also to just keep our Facebook accounts in order to know those people close to heart if there are some events.

well, i somewhat have the same feeling for you but with a different reason
you say it's boring because people thinking about theirshelves, it's normal in my country, but what makes me still in the Facebook because i have many relatives and groups which i can share and get information for. it's worth.
what i think it's become somewhat boring, i think because Facebook's update not seen anymore, is it the last creativity of Mark Zuckerberg?
