how to retrieve hidden files in memory card

my partner spoil my day. i don't know what he did with my memory card he only told me that he accidentally erased all the files in my memory card but i was puzzled why i can't transfer all the files in my computer to my memory card so i check the properties settings and i found out that my memory card is not empty all the files is being hid and i think due to virus i really don't know. now my concern is how am i going to retrieve it? i already change the folder option to "show all hidden files" but still it didn't show up. can you help me on this? i don't want to reformat my memory card and i do believe that i could find ways to retrieve it.

i am wondering where did he delete the memory card? was it deleted in your pc? and if so have you already checked your pc's recycle bin and see if it was there?
if your memory card has recovery function... i would suggest maybe you can find some food recovery tools found in the internet. There are a lot of tools that we can get for free over the net and they sometimes come free. do not pay for them just search and i am sure there is one out there.

for the kind information deleted stuff for any external storage devices doesn't go to recycle bin . they are completely removed for the storage device.

Your situation could be the USB Data Recovery data loss. Recently, I have come across the same situation like you. I have spend a lot of time to find the solutions. Finally I found an article from http://www.yesterdata.net The name is called usb data recovery. It is really helpful!

i remember having the same problem, and it all pointed out to a virus within the hidden files in my memory card. I tried recovering the files through a utility software, but most have corrupted the files and the last option was to reformat the card as i don't want my desktop to be infected by it.

There are (free) programs for getting back your lost files. You can find them on the internet (use a search machine). Only if you format the memory card or use it again it will be lost.

The easy way to recover deleted photo is to use a photo recovery software. The files won't be deleted actually if you don't rewrite the data to you r memory card. If the cardrecovery won't work, try this one: http://www.recovery-photo.com
