Something funny...

Something funny happened to me not long ago. My mother-in-law asked me a strange question out of the clear blue. She asked "Do black people tan"? It was so funny and she was really serious about the question too. After a couple of minutes of laughing my head off, I explained to her that yes black people do get darker. I said to her just because my skin is darker doesn't mean that I don't get even more dark. The more time I spend out in the sun, the darker my skin becomes. The best part about it is that I do not burn! But the bad part about it is that at night I am hard to see unless I am wearing light colors. What are some of the strangest questions that people have asked you?

"Where did you place the hairbrush?" my wife was asking pointblank at me. i was so irritated to answer as if she haven't noticed i have shaven my head and been bald for the last few months, lol!

LOL! That was funny. Did you happen to remind her that you were bald or could she tell just by looking at you? Or maybe she thought you were playing around with her and moved it on purpose.

At that point, i put my hand over the top of my head as if i am pulling my hair, and she just laughed, embraced me and then apologize, lol!

Oh that is indeed funny. *laughing with you now* LOL! Hmmm... *thinking* Ah yeah. The other day while chatting and playing around with my five year old nephew, he suddenly ask me,... Nephew: "Tita, dis mom and dad ask God to make me? Me: Yes, you are a blessing of God. Nephew: How did they ask God? Me: They prayed for you, of course. Nephew: And how was I made. Me: You are made with the love of your Mom and Dad with each other. Nephew: How, how, how??? Me: *speechless* At that moment I was so laughing inside cause I don't know how to really explain to him how he is made... An I realized that kids do ask that question. Oh well, i'll just give the honor of explaining that topic to his parents. :)) Just sharing.

Black people can also get tan on their skin if he/she stay outside under the sun for long period of time like everyone. The thing here is because the tan doesn't show up vividly like the case of a fair or pale skin color person through our eye, so obviously it is hard to differentiate through naked human vision since our ability to see the constrast between tan and black is quite limited compare to tan and pale white. Human vision can see the different easily only when the targeted color and its ambiance color are at both extreme end of the light spectrum each, not close to each other.

well, i also heard that some people with darker skin have no problem getting in the sun for a longer period, though, other have sensitive skin. though, they also feel warm t just less noticeable. some people get curious about it. while other get angry being ask such a question. they think it is like an insult. so it is a very sensitive issue and there may think your a racist if you ask about it. so most of the time i avoid making a question where other may feel annoy while other just feel so sport about it.

Ahah! I made the same question too!!! I asked to a friend of mine if she, a girl from Morocco, during the summer, tans. This is the strangest question I made, but I cannot remember what has been the strangest question I received.
