I always plan to have business even it is little .I don't want to always work, because sometimes you get tired, sick and your boss will give you 1 day rest and etc.
It is always good to have own business, because you just sit,and wait for the costumers to buy your stuff, but the problem is what if, you have little income and you need to pay rent and etc..
I want to have own business store,so my source of my income will be in that business and no need to work hard to it..And hoping and thinking about and trying to save money to that..What do you prefer?

Keep that dream and start small. As an employee you earn exactly the same amount from pay time to pay time. If there is a little increase, well lucky but it can't make us rich. We buy the things we wanted, we meet our daily needs but we just stay where we are.

Agree, start in a small business, and manage the money that you receive from store, and use it again to buy stuff etc.
It's new to build a store ,and later make it big.

have a business is a good option if you already have a good capital amount to invest. choose a good products that the market need like a good location. if one have no capital. then they need to find a job first and save money to use for investment. some could still work and have a business at the same time. this is a good fall back if ever you get fired on your job , if you have business surely you will never get fired.

You may do a small business depends on your skill, if you know crafting, then you can set up an online website whereby people can see and buy your things, but doing business has its risk though you are your own boss, sometimes you don't see any money coming, working for someone else is better, you can choose freelance work whereby you can work whenever you want and how you want to work at it. I prefer online business rather than offline business coz its risk less.

I have experienced working in a company and it's hard and fulfilling at the same time.Being employed gives you more benefits like medicare, social security and the likes but problems often arrives specially if you are not in good vibes with your boss, your schedules, your health mishaps and the likes. Some companies would let you go to work even if your in bed sick and if you apply for a sick leave they will just give you a day or two and you should be at work after that. The only nice part of being an employee is when you happen to receive your bonuses, 13th month pay or salary increases =)) =)).On the other hand being the boss on your own business seems great too.The only problem you would think about is to have the means to start your own business. To become a businessman/woman you have to be a risk taker. You have to be creative too because costumers may come and go and so as your products too.Being the boss of your own business is less stressful because you don't have working hours to look out for you have your own time. Both being an employee and having your own business is good you just have to be adaptable in every circumstances. :)

Yes,true if you don't have to work and work if you have own business. And it is better that you have good place of business built, and more people coming in and like your stuff.
Just not worry for hard work, but only think about how you can make many friends and let them know about you have business.

Tough choice...but actually, there is nothing for me to think about.
I don't want to be an employee. I can't afford to be one because my health is fragile so I have to stick with the business.
As to what kind of business that is, it can be anything. As long as I am financially literate, I believe more options will open up to me and such problems of paying other people will be my pushing force that will encourage me to make more money.
And instead of just relying on a business made by me and run by me as self-employed, I would want that business to run on it's own even without me because of the system behind it. (I usually separate business from self-employment.)
As for my expenses, I want them to be payed by my passive income instead of my active income. These things I've mentioned needs lots of planning and a secure foundation and that is what I am doing now while still young.
I hope this will give you a good idea and will help you in the future. Happy MyLotting!

i also have the same dilemma as you, befrindwithme. i always wanted to put up my own business, even just a small one. i want to do things on my own and i want to pursue my passion. i do not want to be bossed around by other people. unlike being a mere employee, you manage you own time and you have the freedom to do want you really want. being an employee, you are run by rules and you have to follow them unless you want to be fired. but then again, you have to have enough money to fund your own business. maybe we can work as employees for quite sometime and when we have enough savings, we can put up our own businesses. good luck to us!

Agree. It is same with you about what i am planning. If you have money, and make own business i think you need to have own knowledge on how you to improve your business, and also be wise on it,even you are boss you still to do things so your plan will go forward and success.

Yes agree. You need to save a lot of money in order you to build up business.Own business is none to command you,and you only need knowledge how to make your business great and more people will come in.

I prefer to combine my own business with another job. I am an artist and sell my paintings, photomanipulations and handmade cards, but I don't earn enough money that way, so I combine it another job. I would prefer to spend all of my time on my art, but my husband and I bought a house last year and we have many bills to pay every month, so it would be too risky to focus completely on my art. I never know how much I earn per month, because that depends on the things that I am able to sell, and I don't know for sure if we would get anough money for our bills that way.
One of my friends has started her own business (a beauty salon), she earns quite well that way and she has given up her life as an employee. I dream about doing the same thing one day, but at the moment it isn't realistic, so I combine my gallery with another job.

Good talent because you are good on painting, and make money to it.But that is your own business selling painting?
As long as you did it earn well, no problems but if there are many bills come in, i think it force you to work and sell that.Yes salon will make you a lot of money, and it is just depends how many customer you have, and etc.

given enough money then i'll choose having my own business. this is because i can command my time and since i am a mom, i can have more time with my son. i can rest whenever i want. but oops, it is not easy though. having your own business needs patience and hard work. it seems easy in words but actually hard when done. but i am still hoping i can have a unique business that will make history. just dream on, it is free. good luck to us.

Yes true, hard work, planning and other tools you need.It is not easy although you are the business owner.
But it depends on how you make money wisely and manage your work in your business. And also you the boss.

Well, if you have the capital go for it my friend. But before venturing to any business, you must have a plan first. The ups and downs of having your own business. I guess you knew that not all person who started their own business succeeds. One must have the patience, passion and determination if he/she wants to succeed. Not all businessmen are first timer in this field, some of them have failed before. Maybe once, twice, thrice and some even more but because they are determined and of course with capital some succeeded. So, this needs thorough planning and thinking. The best of luck my friend.

I don't really know the answer, but what i want for sure is to get rich LOL... Being an employee suck, you have to take orders from the people who sometimes know less than you and yet they're stubborn with their opinion, then after you did what you wer told to do, other people come and see your work and they complain why we did it like that, and the stubborn people who told you to do that blame it all on you... that suck...
Being a business owner is also not easy... your employee want to get paid as much as they can get, and after you give them high salary, they get lazy and become unproductive. That also suck...
I wish i can be a business owner where all my employee are robots... that way i don't have to pay for them and i get a good predictable result...
cheers...

.Really funny.it is true you will suck if you are employee.People will complaints, and different opinions etc.
We wish that everything work okay perfect! But it is hard sometimes. And if you have business, and the worker are lazy,no money, and well how can you earn much if that's the work of them.Suck everything if not handle it good.

It is always better to just build up a business. In businesses, you can control
how much you can earn, you can earn triple your salary as employee if you increase production. You also have you schedule. You are your own boss. While in employment,
you just have a fixed salary, nothing more nothing less, unless there's a bonus.

I think there are advantages and disadvantages associated with both. If you work as an employee for someone else you must answer to that person for everything but you might have guaranteed income.
When you have your own business you will have a sense of freedom to manage it your way but you might also worry about the success of that business all day every day. You might even lose sleep if the problems of owning your own business are overwhelming.
I believe the color of your personality might determine which route you should take.
If you have a red personality you have natural leadership ability and you would be driven to succeed. Some other colors might have a more difficult time with the pressures and responsibilities of being in the drivers' seat.

Yes agree. Both have advantages and disadvantages. It is true that when you work in the company, you have to respond what they tell you,and also your income will be okay and maybe little .
In your self business, you have to pay rent, thinking how to be a good sales talk, and mange your business how to success.

yeah,of course their is a little bit of risk involved in a business....but it is important to maintain our existance by fighting with it...and the true man is the one who makes his/her dreams come true...which i obiously not possible by an employee...
