Bicol's nice. I've been there once but there are limited things to do. The time we went there we only did sight seeing. If you want to enjoy your Philippines vacation, I suggest you go to Sagada. On the way to Sagada, you can also asked to stop by Banawe to check out the "Banawe Rice Terraces". Sagada is known for it's scenic views. Kiltepan Peak offers you an amazing sight especially during day break. Sun rise and Sea of Clouds. Sagada offers spelunking/cave exploration as well as white water rafting. I've done cave exploration twice in Sagada and I love the experience. If you want to commune with nature, I highly suggest you to visit Sagada. Tourist spots to see in Sagada are the "Hanging Coffins" and "Echo Valley". You can also stop by Baguio (Philippines' City of Pines) before going home. If you want to swim and escape the commercialized scene like Boracay and/or Puerto Galera, I suggest you go to Ilocos. You can do a Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud tour in 3days. Vigan boasts of Philippine's heritage houses. Pagugpud boasts of fine sand beach. It's not as commercialized as Boracay so you can enjoy nature there. Sights to see are the "Bagui Wind Mills", "Pagudpud Beach", "Baluarte" If you want to go all out, then visit Bohol or Boracay :D

Wow, i love these suggestions. Only, I can't go to too many places at this time. My pregnancy is on a wrong timing. But, I'll surely try Bicol, Puerto Galera, Vigan and back to Palawan, very soon. I heard of Sagada, too. My husband and his friends did some spelunking there and they enjoyed it so much. The only negative feedback I heard was the travel time and the road trip itself. But, its somehow expected for a very remote place like that.

Hi there Konomashii! Welcome to Mylot! I am also here in the Philippines and I would suggest that you visit Aklan. The first spot to see here is of course, Boracay, and there are also a lot of other places where you can go here. You can visit Wassenaar Beach Resort in Jawili, Tangalan, Sampaguita Gardens, Bakhawan Eco-park and Museo it Akean. There are a lot more beautiful spots here.

That's true. Boracay is indeed the new summer destination here in the Philippines. However, if you're the type who doesn't appreciate crowded places, you might want to wait till later in the year to go there. It'll really be extremely full of people on the island. But if you like to party a lot, then, pack your things up and head to Boracay, now.

Bicol is a good place. i have friends in bicol and they told me this place in bicol where you can go for a vacation and its not very populated and not popular with people as of this time. maybe you can try to do some basic research. when you go to bicol though i suggest that you have someone with you that knows his or her way around. sometimes there are npas in the area and it will always help if there's someone who knows how to stay away from them. stay safe! =) and have fun!

I'm sorry but I don't know anything much about Bicol. I could only promote our place, Pangasinan. If you want to visit North then you might want to try Pangasinan as one of your destination. What Pangasinan can offer you: BEACHES San Fabian Beach Hundred Islands National Park Lingayen Beach Dasol Beach Burgos Beach Patar Beach in Bolinao (the Boracay of the North) Surip Beach in Bani Tondol Beach in Anda Agno Beach PILGRIMAGE SITES (perfect for Holy Week) Our Lady of Manaoag Epiphany Church Lingayen Mt Zion in Bugallon Our Lady of Rosales Grotto San Fabian the Pope Church Our Lady of Purification Binmaley San Ildefonso Church in Malasiqui St. Dominic Parish Church St. John Cathedral in Dagupan St. James Church in Bolinao St. Peter & Paul Church in Calasiao St. Vincent Church in Bayambang HISTORICAL SITES The Cape Bolinao Lighthouse The Capitol Building The Sison Auditorium The Sison Auditorium The Casa Real ECOTOURISM SITES Biking in Rosales ACOP Dam Fishing in ACOP Dam Bird Watching in Hundred Islands National Park Bolinao Rivers Cacupangan Cave Mangatarem Rainforest Mt Balungao Hot and Cold Springs Resort Bolinao Falls Kimandadu Falls, San Quintin Mantayupan Fall Pangasinan is also a home to various caves and waterfalls. And that is only a list on where you can go, I haven't started on the LOcal Products made by the town folks and the different events happening in the Province. So if you're interested you might want to check this site http://pangasinantourism.com/ (not a referral link) for further information on the goodness and beauty of Pangasinan.

I didn't know there was more to enjoy in Pangasinan, than just the popular Hundred Islands. That's a good long list for interested tourists. I'll keep a note of this, for a future plan to visit the place.

If you have the budget, you can always spend your vacation to Baguio, then to Sagada and Mt,Province. Those places are real peaceful and seems like you're in a paradise.
