How do you react when someone farted beside you?

Well if the fart is quite loud without any bad odor I will probably laugh loud when I know the person,but if a stranger,I would probably laugh all by myself. But if the is a fart that has really bad odor,I would probably walk away to avoid suffocation.

I don't really worry too much about it, and take it easy and with humor generally, just laughing at the one farting and how he's being ashamed publicly Unless that's becoming frequent and with a real bad smell, in which case I can get angry, and try to move away from him.

Maybe I'll transfer to a spot where I can't smell the fart if the fart has a smell.If it has a sound & it smells,I'd probably say "Eew!" if I know that person or if I'm close to him/her.If there's sound but no smell,maybe I'd still say "Eew!" But if I don't know the person,I'd just walk away.

My husband thinks passing gas is funny, but for me, it is embarrassing. I have a condition that makes it almost impossible to hold it in. Because of this, I prefer to act as nothing had happened and hope that they will treat me the same.

If that is stranger then probably I won't be having reactions on it but then maybe I can't breathe. Because I don't want to show it that I want to cover my nose. But if that is someone I know then most of the time I am laughing or saying YUUCCCCKKKK!!!

Assuming it was not done intentionally, I don't think it accomplishes anything to make the person even more uncomfortable than he already is.

i think if there is only me and the person who farted, i will just act as if nothing happened so as not to make him feel embarrased. if he farted too loud, then i might just look at him in surprise.. with my eyes saying " how could you have let that out, now?" haha

I would just utter these words, 'Go to hell' and move aside in discontent.

Usually you smell it but not hear it or the othr way around. I usually try not to react. If its the smelly one i try not to inhale it. Most people are meat eaters and thats what causes the bad odor. If im the farter i hope its silent. But silent or not if im around other people i try to act as though it was not me. The other day somebody on face book shared this joke with me; I was at a bar the other day and needed to pass gas. Given that the music was pretty loud i desided to release it a little at a time. When i had finished i noticed that people were looking at me strangly. Then i suddenly realized i was still wearing my head phones.

Sometimes I like to randomly claim farts that aren't mine so maybe I'll say "Oh excuse me everyone for farting. Must have been those beans I had for lunch." or I might move away from them if it stinks to bad. Depends on my mood.

I think I'll just move away a bit and let the air clear first with a smile. But if he/she is my friend I would laugh and joke around telling him/her that she/he did it on purpose or had picked the right time to release it.

FOR LOUD and Squeeky : Well i would just simply say to him/her this line "you got a nice ring tone back there mate! " rationale : the more you talk the lesser chance to get poisoned plus Most of the Loud farts ain't so bad than the silent farts... FOR SILENT but DEADLY: i would say..."wow! the devil hates you..." then just do nothing and wait till it's gone..

I was at a store recently and out of no where a foul stinch hit me. I'm looking around because no one is immediately beside me but there are several people walking around. Hard to pinpoint the fart buster! Anyhow I smiled cause it was funny even though the odor pointed straight to someone derier. I think I called my sister and told her about the invisible farter. Why are certain things funny like when someone falls unexpectedly! You wanna ask if theyre okay but your initial reaction is too laugh

it's not that funny...farting in front to some other people is not a good etiquette, we all know that it's a very bad smell so we should do away from people, i will not just move away, try to blow it away but to send that person away indeed....

If the distance is far enough, I would not have to leave just like when inside the church. The person who farted will go away to save face so it's not a terrible situation really.

It is not ideal to fart in public and it makes me feel like am embarrassing myself when I do. When someone farts beside me I take a great deal of cursing and action for me to be there but if the person had asked for permission before doing it am free to talk a walk or just stroll around and come back to them in any case I see it as being disgraceful when some farts without leaving the room, to me it is an embarrassment to themselves.

thats really funny you know!! but the more funny is that when there is a sound,ohh cmon,!! that is really ashamed!! lol!! but asking myself,on how about farting with an odor,?? hmm..?? probably i will cover my nose,! lol!!

If it was my friend i will blow the fart in direction to their face so they could smell their own fart... LOL.... but if it was a stranger i would move away as i could, because i think it's not polite to fart beside a stranger.

Haha, that's a good question! It happens once in a while, but I still don't know how I would react! I guess if it was smelly I would walk away or would try to get as far as possible... unless it's someone i know and want to be polite with (then I would have to suffer silently). If it was just noisy and I knew the person, I would laugh. If I didn't know, I would pretend that I didn't notice anything

At home, we fart loud. We make fun of it. hahahahaha But, maybe to strangers or friends who farts beside me, I think I will move or cover my nose. lol I don't to inhale their gas! lol
