Good day Fellow Mylotters, For the past few days, I have started again to do my Weight Lost Program. As I really need to do this so I can have again the ideal weight that is right for me. And to tell you the truth, it is indeed hard to loose weight. As in, I need to cut down some of the foods that I usually eat. Thus, it is really difficult. Why its like this, it is easy to gain a weight but it is difficult to loose at least a pound/kilo.

Well the Dr. say breakfast shouldn't be skipped and several say if you are going to have a bi meal breakfast should be it. I would suggest cutting out soda's and sugar and walk a little every day.

It is hard to lose weight. It takes a lot of self-discipline, motivation, and effort on your part. But it's exciting to learn new ways to cook healthily, and finding a type of exercise that you really truly enjoy. I am starting to rollerblade and I really like it. So it's great finding something you like to do that also happens to burn calories. . Keep motivated and best of luck to you!

you can say that again!!!! I think i've tried all the diet regimens that people endorsed to me as effective. I've spent and sacrificed so much of my time exercising and in the end after a few months, i would give up and stop. feeling like nothing was actually happening! then i've made up my mind that i would stop eating rice and meat. I lost so much weight because i stopped eating all those things for about 8 months and because of that, i had a seizure! LOL. When my Brain waves reading came out with a little deviation from normal, mom and dad told me never to diet that way ever again. and because of that, everything they cooked, they want me to devour. and i returned to being a godzilla! now, i am slimming down slowly and carefully. I don't want to be hospitalized again. and im not skipping any meals, nor am i avoiding any food my body needs. I am avoiding sweets and soda as much as i can.. despite this achievement i am having now, i could not forget that i could revert back to how i was before since i've been returning everytime i get exhausted with working out. Argh, i can't stop it when this is the topic, feels like i have so much to say... ^_^ thanks for this discussion

Hi Airasheila, if you can cut down sugar, or cut off sugar totally, you do not really have to change your diet a lot. However it is hard to cut down on sugar, since you are effectively cutting away from the soft drinks, cakes, ice cream and everything else with high sugar content. I think having a few days without sugar will help you to lose weight. But you must exercise as well.

Perhaps it would be helpful to assume that someone would take away all the hair on your head if you dont lose weight at a given date. Haha joke. I read one case where ballet dancing for six days a week for 5 hours helped lose weight. Another method which I quote here says: Ask yourself "What excuses do I make? What limitations do I have? What prevents me from breaking the self defeating cycle that got me overweight and depressed?" Another still "But just like everything else, you will only get there if you begin to work on making that change." These advices are found all over the net. Helpful isn't it?

hi thats many honest, its so hard to lose weights especially with the many chemicals they add to the food to make it super tasty, its amazing really but its needs time and plans, its so hard but now impossible, thats what i think also there are now many tipes of regim to do so, try what suits you to start and keep on doing it for really long time to see the real change in the weight of yours and be waht weight you like.

Losing weight ...it demands quite a lot of determination and firmness. After all when one decide to lose weight he has to sacrifice many of the food delicacies he has cherished for long. It is all a new regimen of food habits hard to prolong until there is strong determination.

More then really cutting down, you should find out how many calories you should be taking in, which there are many spots online where you can find out, and stick to what you need, for loosing weight. If done properly, you should be loosing 1-2 pounds per week. It doesn't come down to what you eat, as much as it comes down to how much you eat. like, for a smaller girl (which I'm guessing you are) you should be having around 1300-1500 calories per day to loose weight. If you ate that all in fruit like oranges, you'd have to eat about 30 in a day, which is tonnes! I don't think I could even do that! But, if you were having all flatbread, then it would just be around 6 pieces. A man in the US did something he called the "Twinkie Diet". Twinkies are these doughnut like desert items, loaded with sugars and fats. What he did, is only ate twinkies for about 4 months, but made sure to keep his calories at a good level, as well as taking multivitamins, and he lost 20 pounds over that time. The point is, it doesn't matter what you eat, as much as it matters how many calories you're having. Keep more to fruits and vegetables, don't be using oils or butter, and keep away from sugars and carbs as much as you can, while having lots of water, and good levels of proteins, in things like meats or beans. Look online to see what your calories are, and keep track of how much you're having. Other then that, it just takes time... but the first part is the hardest, once you get it going, it'll slide right off of you!

Because we love to eat what we usually eat which contains lots of calories. It's in our brain or something. If I remember correctly there was already a research that was done about human behavior towards food. I'm just not sure anymore where I've seen it. But it was found out that city-people usually tend to love eating certain foods that contains lots of calories like burger, pizza and others.(I won't ruin your diet by elaborating them all) The subjects' brain scan shows that they get stimulated by images of food shown to them. And the degree of these stimulation are being recorded as well. I suggest you keep out of images of certain foods that you really should cut back off and avoid buying them in the market as well. I know the feeling you're having because I too am in a diet but mine is more for health purposes. When I went to the mall last time, there were so many images of foods I would want to eat and frankly speaking, I would have drooled at them all if I was not walking with a group of people. Good luck in your diet and Happy MyLotting!

The answer is because all of us have desire to eat food that is not healthy to our body like sweets, like foods that are delicious to eat and we cannot help ourselves but to eat and eat and eat food and because it is so delicious. That is the reason why is difficult to loose weight. So very difficult, but I was thinking. I am slim and I have a friend who told me that it is not right to have a body slim, so I need to gain weight. You know what? Ha ha… why is it so hard for me to gain weight?

I also gained a lot of weight this time. And I have notice that the older I am the more fats I've gained. And I tried eating wheat bread and small meal but seems like it is still the same. Maybe I have to wait for longer time and be consistent with it. I will be doing this because I can't do too much exercise or weight lifting. Good luck to us.

hi there, we have the same problem but in my case, i have a really difficult time trying to gain weight. i would like to gain more weight though i am only about 5 pounds underweight. i think it is always better to have some more meat. bt i notice too that i lose even more weight when i skip a meal and eat less. maybe you can try that. i have a hard time controlling my boyfriend too because he is over weight. but he loves to eat and i hate seeing him eating excessively i am worried because of his cholesterol and he has a family history of diabetes. i just have to keep trying and never give up on taking care of him.

It needs a lot of determination and self discipline. I am also trying to lose more weight as I am gaining faster as I get old. As they say, as we get old our metabolism becomes slow and that is one reason why we become fat easier and harder to lose weight.

I think it is hard to give up the foods we love.We feel deprived if we can not have that fried chicken or that piece of cake we crave.i am trying to just eat in moderation.Only 1 soda a day.Candy as a once a week treat.I am adding more fruit and veggies to our meals. Also adding beans and rice to str etch meat farther.
