Whenever I do online and participate in mylot's discussion I would also listen to a free online radio. Every time 'If I die young" by The Band Perry is being played, a part of the lyrics will always linger in my mind. the stanza goes :
A penny for your thoughts, oh no I'll sell them for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe you'll hear the words I've been singin
Funny when you're dead how people starts listenin
I somehow appreciated it and acknowledge the truth in this stanza. Remember when a person dies, we then recall all the good memories we spent with him/her. The good deeds they have done for us. The regrets will come rushing. I should have listen to him/her. We indeed do not know we have something valuable until we lose them. Another point is, now all the words of the dead become quotes. And we do listen to these qoutes to inspire us , to guide us and indeed they are worth much more now. And we are hearing them now.
