Yes it has happened before. Of course, I don't think it happened to me more than a couple of times, but you know sometimes there a a few students that get singled out by the lecturer. They are soft targets, someone that can prove a point, to show just how smart they are. Of course, I really don't think you're very smart if you have to mentally pick on students that should really know less than you. It can seem embarrassing.
Of course, sometimes it can be embarrassing for the teacher sometimes, when a student is able to answer. Of course, a teacher may act thrilled in some subtle way, but you can see that their fun has been punctured by a student obviously being better prepared. I tended to over prepare sometimes, in many attempts to not be kept off guard. I was embarrassed for people, even the troublemakers when a teacher singled them out just a little bit.

I see what you mean brother. There have been many times already when my teacher or a lecturer embarrasses me in front of my classmates. Actually, it is because they did not like what we are doing. See, we show our unique point of view but then they just don't understand us and lectures us. Don't be discouraged though, they lecture us because we are creative. Don't feel embarrassed when you are being lectured upon, you just have to go with it and laugh it off yourself. Show them that you don't care what they think about you since it is your life and make it a sign that you are becoming more and more creative. Have a great day, that is how i managed to finish my high school. Remember my friend, it's just a matter of perspective.
