i'm sure that i have heard about cooking rice that you mix with jelly powder will make the rice more nutritious and more delicious...
so, i try to make some but i never know that the powder already has color and it is green...
when i mix the rice and the powder then the water become green...
and 20 minutes later i already have a green rice... :weird:

This sounds REALLY REALLY Bizarre! . Doesn't it taste sweet, like jell-o if you mix it in there? I guess it might be fun to change up the color of rice - it's so boring after all (white/brown). . Happy MyLotting...And good luck with your green rice...

Great idea! I will surely try this one, my kids really like jelly and the green color in the rice will really be a big surprise and hopefully a way to stimulate their appetite, lol!

I've never heard of jelly powder nonetheless adding it to rice. Well if anything your dish had some extra color with green rice.

When you say "jelly" powder I am thinking of Jello powder you mix to make jello. I am not sure what the nutrition value would be, but I'm guessing the Green didnt' hurt anything at all.

Lol,, now you have Green rice jelly
I never heard about mixing rice with jelly powder, and I can not imagine how is it looks and taste like. I like jelly mix with fruits, and I like rice with meats or vegetables,,I dont think so for rice+jelly
You have to check the jelly before you cook if you want to try this weird mixing next time,, make sure its plain jelly,,, or may be you want to try choco jelly mix with rice other time?
