Make full use of things is a good habit.
But I find out that I always buy new things when the old ones are still good enough to use. But now people have more money and more choices than 30 years ago. So when they find that news things come out they will soon get new one for usually new ones are good in looking and have more functions. But in most case, they still have the old one for only a year or less.

Yes, most people are like that. Me, I don't buy new things unless my old one is already broken or not functional anymore. Like for example, in mobile phones, all my friends want new phones whenever a new model was released in the market. I don't really plan yet to buy a new phone even if I know it's better than the one I'm using now. It's just that the mobile phone I'm using now is still very functional and it will be a waste of money if I spend for a new one when I can still use the old one. I cannot spend on new things if I know I'll still be able to use the ones I have.

Now, mobile phones and computers are really function enough, they are with good quality and can be used for a long time. Though the technology develops so quick in these years, but thing still can be used for several year until they can not meet the basic need of modern people.
I do not change mobile phones or computers often, but i do like to buy makeups, notebooks and other some things, though i already have a lot of these in hand.
I do not think the habit is good, but i can feel happy through buying them.

Me too, I don't change mobile phones, computers, and other gadgets easily just because some new models just came out in the market. Some of my friends are like that. I would rather spend my money on new makeup or books, and yes, other things.

To a rational person, he/she may only spend money on what he/she really wants. While to a irrational person, he/she on what he/she likes. To normal people, they are usually between the above two.
I do not have a lot fo money, so that force me to be a rational person when buying big things, while can let me to be a irrational person on buying somethings.
As a woman, shopping is a hobby to me and a thing to release myself and make me happy. I enjoy the shopping process.

i don't usually buy things i don't really need. most of the time i am very practical. i wont buy a new cellphone if my old one is still working. it is just a waste of money. but i wont deny that when it comes to food then i would spend a lot.

Yes, I generally would but I love to shop, so that's another issue entirely. For example I have 22 pairs of boots (I counted) - all very cute and very different, they go with different outfits. . If that's not excess, I don't know what is....And that's not even counting flip flops, sandals, dress shoes, and tennis shoes.... HA HA. Happy MyLotting!

When I buy something new things, in most of the chance the old one is still well at home. But in most case, I will think that i may need it some day in the future, so i take the new one as spare one.
So i will not go out for something, but i will have more than i really needed.

In many instances, I don't make wise choices. I usually can't discipline myself in buying new things even when the old one is still in good condition. I think I can call myself an emotional buyer. When I see a new thing and I have money, I am tempted to buy it. I had been reading some tips for me to be financially literate and improve my finances. Now, I hope that I can control myself in indulging to buy new things when I don't really need it. It's a matter of disciplining ourselves to live a frugal life. However, if you are rich and money is not a problem, then I think that you can buy what you want, since money continues to come and it's not a problem.
